For example if Vasher instead of tying a knot when kidnapping Vivenna, had given a 'hold things' command to the rope keeping her wrists secured. Could she then have escaped like she did? Cause you can't retrieve someone elses breath, but can you overwrite it? Also, for how long would a command be active? Would a rope hold something for eons (disregarding it would disintegrate with time) or would it weaken with time? Edit: I guess it would stay active with time, considering Nightblood has been around for a while

I read V4 when Brandon was publishing them freely a while back, at the end he would write what changes were made from V3 and why. Now I'm re-reading the published Warbreaker ebook and I've noticed a bunch of small changes. Denth and the priest are named (Vara)Tredelees instead of Tridees. Lemks had a namechange to Lemex. And other stuff like that, some added content and such. I'm wondering if there's a "changelog" to be found somewhere as to why these changes happened. I don't know how many versions were published before it got finished but I'd love to read about the changes between V4-V5/Latest Does this exist somewhere?

I've read most everything by Sanderson and I really enjoy his style. At the moment I feel a bit fed up with fantasy and would like to give sci fi a shot. So is there something similar in style out there that you guys know of and would recommend?
