    Shadow grabbed them and said forcefully, 'who are you?"

    Soulmover raised an eyebrow, "I see... alright then, but I expect myself to be left alone as well." Shadow watched the shadowed figure from the shadow on top of a book shelf. His own plans could be helped by this.

    Soulmover sensed the soul energy coming from nearby. He seized it and used it to drag the person into view. it was the shadowed figure. "Now, who are you?"

    Soulmover stood silent. He smiled at Mythos, this was going perfectly. Perhaps Soulmover would take Eof's offer and join him. That plan of his may be coming to fruition soon.

    Tears fell from Mythos face. He took the pendant and put it around his neck. Engraved on the back was, "We must persevere to get to the next adventure."

    Mythos paled, recognition flooding into his eyes, "what have I done..." he knelt down on lifted Cucumber beard's face. the illusion dissolved revealing someone Mythos recognized, "no... Drenlan... no, no, no..."

    "His journey, I see..." Mythos' expression hardened, "the path of my father was one of foolery, Rond never knew what he was doing from the beginning." Mythos stabbed Cucumber beard with his speciality dagger.

    Mythos smiled, "I see... Well, you have found the heir. Whether or not you mean my father's heir or Thaidakar's heir I do not know. Now, what did you wish to guide me to, Cucumber beard?"

    "The message was one I'd rather not tell you, cucumber." He let them fall to the floor.

    Mythos glared at Cucumber beard, "you know what I'm talking about, you slimy fermented bit of vegetable. Was that Eof you were talking to over there?"

    "Not to trust slimy cucumber fellows." Mythos grabbed Cucumber beard's throat and held him up, he punched them in the gut with his other hand.

    Mythos held a hand at Rym, "I have made excellent progress, cucumber beard. And I think I understand what my father was trying to tell me."

    Or it was, until a big ripple formed with blue sparks coming from it. A blue cloaked figure walked in. Soulmover looked around, "what are you doing here?" he asked Mythos. Mythos blinked, "the chess piece opened into here."

    Mythos frowned, the scroll rippled in his fingers. This was... wrong, what was happening?

    Mythos had translated the scroll almost perfectly, oblivious to the threatening way the cucumber beard was talking about him with the shadow man. Mythos smiled happily. Suddenly, he felt goosebumps on his arm. He stood up, alarmed. Something was wrong... he could feel it.

    Chickens got big mechs and started order, getting a semblance of peace in a large section of the clinic.

    "My father was a genius." he turned back to the scroll and sat down at a desk in the library.

    "Thaidakar is not my father, Thaidakar is the man who acted as my mentor."

    Mythos nodded, wiping a tear from his eyes, he took the scroll and looked at it. he started smiling, "this is the language my father invented for our family. I still keep a copy of the dictionary for it with me. I'll get to work on reading it."

    Mythos nodded, "alright then."

    "My father also looked exactly like that statue."

    He turned, "My father disappeared long ago, he was a scientist who worked on dimensional theories. He dissapeared once." that was an understatement to what had actually happened, but cucumber beard didn't need to know that.

    Mythos ignored the rocks and stared at the statue. he whispered, noone else could hear it, "So this is where he went... Father didn't die..."

    Mythos staggered backwards. He widened his eyes, "I-I... WHAT DID YOU CALL HIM! WHAT WAS HIS NAME?"
