The chickens continued chanting to a seemingly endless beat, all of them carried their long and menacing knives. Chickeee watched from a one way glass in the wall, so close!

(@The Wandering Wizard) Emma was dragged in burning chains by five floating chicken priests into a large archaic looking room covered in red glowing runes. Ten more chicken priests hovered in the room. The chickens laid Emma's chained form onto the altar and bound her with even more burning chains. The lead chicken floated higher and started chanting...

Thaidakar smiled, "we should. here's a map." he handed them a map of the clinic, "and your room should be on there, room D fifty five." "No, I do think you presume you know what is best for the clinic. and perhaps that's even the truth. But to me, you will just be an annoyance. an annoyance who has interrupted my plans significantly..."

"That is not my reasons... You presume to think I would try and stop you? You insufferable little annoyance as you are are hardly worth the effort."

"No... not like this. but it does give me this power..." he drew the amber gem from his pocket and drew out the power. He smiled as the treaty started tearing to pieces in his fingers.

"You know what this means, Lark." said Thaidakar, "It will all work out now... all quite nicely..."

"Fine." he handed over the hard drive and grabbed the treaty.

"I was looking through the old files that I copied onto a hard drive from my staff days. I keep it with me always."

"Not in that treaty... but Calano accidentally signed contract where it made an exception for chickens."

"You would if chickens were included in the treaty. which they aren't."

A look flashed on his face, "but the chickens are not outside of this dimension. You all have been fools, even Calano. I was as well. The chickens have always been here..."

"I can convince her if you say you'll not let any chickens into the clinic ever again. I will also gather a few of Emma's friends to come help up convince her. Perhaps, if you were there while we rescue her just in the nick of time, she'll forgive you. it's worth a try."

"I do not think you are a villain anymore. I would like to arrange a deal where I'm back as staff, but you make Emma your superior. She gets to rule the clinic, in title only. Meanwhile, you are the real leader and run the show. I would like to help you and keep your propositions a little more gentle as to stop rebellions and burning of the library. Of course, we will need to rescue Emma before we put this into action."

He chuckled, "if only... but no, my arrangement is far more reasonable."
