Cess tripped, and smacked her head on the tile floor. She gasped, and then covered her mouth with her hands. How could I be so sloppy? I'm going to be in so much trouble. *internal screaming* Her illusion was still up, and she scrambled to her feet.

She sighed. "We'll see." A thought occurred to her. Couldn't I reveal my identity just to them? No. Unless they ask, no. I won't put her in jeopardy like that.

"I don't do it for myself." She said frustratedly. "My debts take everything I have. I rarely have more than $30 extra. Last year I barely made it. I had $6 extra. If I don't pay the debts..." She shook her head. "Once she's safe, I'd be fine dying. But until then, I need to live."

Shade grinned at Trace. "Gladly." She then marched over to the person in charge of the boats. "I need you fastest boat. It has to fit at least 6 people." She had used her most menacing voice. She waited. "B-but..." Shade gave her a look, and the woman swallowed. "A-all right." She handed over the keys. "Number 16. Don't bother paying." The woman faked a smile. "It's free of charge." "I didn't say it was your fault." She said to Janice. "And I'm definitely not judging." She then turned to Trace. "Oh, just the bodyguard of the person who kidnapped my sister. He's a total idiot. He's one of those people who has the intelligence of a rock."
