  1. I find it interesting that Koloss can have kids with people. Now the question is if Tarson could have kids or was shoting blanks like a mule.
  2. I'm just going to note that the mythology that would spring up around the religions is very interesting to contemplate. Consider: 1. Sliverism is likely the continuance of TLR's religion, and likely reveres Marsh as the last inquisitor. 2. Marsh is Kelsier's brother. 3. Vin never joined the church of the Survivor, and was likely a nonpracticing Sliverist to the end. 4. Harmony was Kelsier's friend and confidant.
  3. I figure why not speculate what stuff with happen in book 2? I'll start by throwing out some stuff that occurs to me: The Brighteyes who cheated Kaladin of his Shardplate and Shardblade is said to be on his way to the Shattered Plains. He's in for a nasty shock when he sees Kaladin is favored by Dalinar. Szeth and Kaladin having a throwdown in full sight of everyone.
  4. The Way of Kings grabbed me from the get go. It was a good kind of grab, a friendly "this is awesome" shoulder grab. The Part Two epigraphs grabbed me by the throat and slammed me against the wall. I expected the Shardholder politics series to be the Sci-Fi Mistborn trilogy. I liked the flashbacks though, characters make my day.
  5. See, I'm not convinced the Voidbringers are necessarily of Odium. They might just be used by him to wreck everything every so often. Also, the Radiants and Heralds might have been grasping for any possible advantage without knowing that the Shardbadles were different from the Dawnblades, like how in the Mistborn series everybody thought the Inquisitors were Mistborn until Hemalurgy got out of the bag. I'd be hesitant about trusting the Almighty's journal, Odium might have messed with it, possibly in the same way Ruin messed with the Feruchemist's memory metalminds. Ati and Leras had no scruples about that kind of thing, and Rayse (assuming he's Odium) is supposed to be worse. @rjl: Szeth has been getting some battle rages lately though.
  6. I'm not sure if I should be putting this here, but it seems like a good place for it. How do you think Rayse will react to Sazed? To someone who holds the power of two shards? If he went and killed Aona and Skai and splintered their shards to prevent any threats to himself, I imagine that Saze would be number one on his hit list.
  7. I think we have nowhere near enough info to even begin speculating what the element might be.
  8. This makes so much sense. I'd argue that the Thrill is like Ruin's touch and Shardblades are like Hemalugic spikes. I'd guess this is specifically to do with Odium. It fits too well. Hmm, might finding out about this have anything to do with Radiants abandoning the Shardblades?
