Quick theory about horneaters after reading the novella. A common theory is that the ability to see spren that Rock and Cord have are related to their singer heritage. It also seems that they can bond lesser spren to some extent (Rock drawing the bow of hours). My theory is that this ability has something to do with the singer forms.
