Workers' songs, you mean? With the frequent balls and the Nobles did have music.
Hmm... I think we don't see any of that because of the cast of characters we follow. As Vin said/roasted, Kelsier's gang led a sort of half-Noble life.
And afterwards, of course there was no time for any of that
But we do know that Dockson was a plantation Skaa, but I do suppose that everyone in our cast is from Luthadel.

So, I was recently listening to a writing excuses podcast on music within fiction and it got me thinking. Wouldn't you think that there would be more music in Mistborn? You see that people inslaved history sang a lot (especially on plantations). Plus people are naturally rhythmic and poetic creatures, so if you really don't have form of entertainment what so ever you would probably start singing, right?
Mistborn: The Final Empire Spoilers!
SpoilerI understand that in Luthadel since the entire population of Skaa is being soothed continuously, that music might not really be present.
But even so you would expect that there would be at least a little singing or at least some humming and rhythmic drumming. I would love to hear what you think.

I would express a note of caution. We are a critique group, not a proof-reading service. Those are of course very different things, as I'm sure you know. Also, I'd say that proofreading is probably not of great immediate value if there are critiquing issues with a story, and nobody has ever critiqued it before.
Duly noted.

I'm in! I've been looking for a writing group for a while now because just because I think my work is good doesn't necessarily mean that it is good. Plus I have terrible grammar and to be able to have someone proofread my work would be invaluable!

Hey, I’ve been learning about the Enneagram chart and this just reminded me of Brandon’s radiant and surge binding charts. There are 9 types though. I wonder if each of these could map onto one of the Unmade? Probably not... But I was just wondering, for those who thought about the Cosmere way more than me, do Enneagrams or other personality type structures show up in Brandon’s work?
I've often thought that Brandon might have based the Orders on the Enneagram (with a few changes).

Woo-hoo!! Avatar: The Last Airbender is back on Netflix! Rewatching it for the fifteenth time? First time watching the three seasons? Feel free to discuss your favorite characters, episodes, and elements here!
I've heard a lot of people recommend it, but now that it's on Netflix I'm going to watch it.

Guys, Brandon will finish writing the Cosmere before we get to 100,000 post if we only post every 2-3 days!

As I have said, this one is a draw. Neither of them can kill the other, so unless Hoid waits for TLR to die of old age, it's a tie.
Which, knowing Hoid, he would probably do.

Probably Sezth during the hight of his fame. If one man could kill a king, I doubt I stand a chance.

I think the Blackthorn one must be a joke. I mean a fully sharded blackthorn drivin by the thrill would destroy Inquisitors. His plate beats Pewter, he's largely immune to there Steel and Iron, his Shardblade will blow through their Gold reserves like nothing, and the thrill will even resist emotional allomancy. All they can do is run away (which, yah, they could do very well).
I could see the Blackthorn winning but having Inquisitors jumping and flying all around you and hitting you with coins. Brandon says that Shardplate can take a couple of hits from a gun, and coins travel at about the same speed. So if they could just hit him maybe 5 or 6 times his plate would probably break. But this would only work on a large playing field. In an Arena style fight, this one would go to the Blackthorn

If Kel had no atium, than Kal (I just realized how wired that sounds).
Kelsier
Vin
Inquisitors
While the last one is a bit tricky, but I would say The Lord Ruler.

It's Moash, I believe. He doesn't have the bridge four patch.
Oh, yeah that would make sense. Thanks!

I will agree that they look majority white, but there are a couple who don't look white to me - they look more Indian.
They all look white to me and I'm Indian. But my biggest problem is why is there a guy in the back using a sword?
