  1. Well, in fact, I have finished the sixth book now and the ranking for me (from worst to best is: 6. Eye of the world 5.The great hunt 4. The dragon reborn 3.Shadows Rising 2. Fires of heaven 1. Lord of chaos (You may see the pattern) I’m aware of the slog that is coming now and I will just push through it even though I don’t think the seventh book is going to be as bad as people say. Like my favorite SA book is Oathbringer and that one is considered the worst one. Overall WoT is AMAZING and I can’t wait to continue on!!
  2. Hi, I know there are many threads out there with people asking how the magic system works in WoT and I’ve gone through most of them, trust me. I understand it, but while I read the books - I have recently finished the fourth one - I don’t understand how the characters could weave these things they do. I went in hoping that book 4 would explain it to me so I could understand it even better, and for the entirety of the book I was patiently waiting and when I finished it the amazing feeling of have read a such great book combined with the unsatisfaction of not getting what I wanted from it. Don’t get me wrong I totally loved it and I did get some knowledge of the system. So my question is - and please don’t spoil anything - in which book does it get in-depth explained? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi everyone!! You’ve probably seen this question a million times but I’m midway through the first book in the WoT series and this far only the prologue has been good. I’m a huge fan of all Brandon Sanderson books out there especially in the cosmere. I started reading the book and expected pretty much from it, and the prologue definitely stood up to my expectations! But after that nothing really exciting happened in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong I really like the characters but the story isn’t going anywhere. Will the whole book be like this with nothing happening? I’m a big sucker for big epic fights and mind-blowing plot twists, so will the series deliver that? Does Eye of the world get better? I would appreciate if you left spoilers out of this thread thank you!
  4. He’s like a whole new character for me. The backstory actually helped me a lot with all the problems I had with him not only in the flashbacks. After reading the book I don’t really understand all the hate Shallan got for her chapters because after Wit first appearance in Oathbringer, the chapters slowly started to improve. I thought that it was a weak solution to her problems but while reading about her and how she changed with every face she drew on was very interesting! After the third book and me getting more invested in every character I feel a urge to reread all the books :). Can’t wait for the fourth! (I’m sorry if my English isn’t good, I come from Sweden so it’s my second language)
  5. Thanks to everyone that has helped me get motivated to read the rest of the book. I have recently finished it and it was holy chickens amazing! I don’t regret reading it at all and it is now my favorite SA book
  6. Thank you for the response, I will definitely give it another shot but first I will take som time off the cosmere. I appreciate your help very much, thank you!!
  7. Hello everyone!! I’ve read and loved all Mistborn books, Steelheart, Rithmatist, The way of kings and Words of Radiance. The two Stormlight Archives books were amazing and always kept me entertained. So I was really excited to start Oathbringer but even 200 pages in I feel like all the love I hade built up for SA just fell apart in seconds. I started to dislike Dalinar and all of his chapters and Shallans progression almost stopped entirely (in my opinion). Right now I don’t know if I even want to continue the series because how much I dislike Oathbringer. I really don’t mean to hate because I love Brandon Sanderson and still do, it’s just maybe this book isn’t for me. Should I push through and keep reading even though I don’t like anyone except for Kaladin or should I skip the book and wait for the fourth or just skip the whole series??
