  1. @Ookla the Prolific I don't think time matters too much at all. Warbreaker and Stormlight spoilers

    Spoiler

As we see in Warbreaker, Susebron has his tongue heal by the use of Lightsong's breathe. I assume the healing is similar to how stormlight or F-gold works. Susebron didn't have his tongue most of his life and as a result that was pretty much the "default" state of him. I think it more depends on how you view yourself. Kaladin's scar doesn't heal because that's how he views himself. So I think how you view yourself is more important than how long you've had the injury.

Words of radiance was fine. Think of reading her in Oathbringer!

Here are dedicated threads on how many people dislike her and why!

Fair enough, Oathbringer Shallan was rough too. Hopefully book 4/5 has some character development that will make the first 3 books worth it. Because while I didn’t enjoy her sections of the books, a well done character arc can redeem her and by extension those sections.

  3. @HonorlessHmmm, favorite character from all his books? Well I've already mentioned Kaladin is my favorite from the Stormlight Archive and I've already said The Emperor's Soul is my favorite book so Shai is also a requirement. Other than that, I would put Lightsong up there as well.

Welcome to the shard! Great to know that you went to his release party. It must be a lot of fun!

Yeah, the release party was way fun! It was cool to just hang out with other people that really like his books

  5. My favorite cosmetic book, hmmm, I really liked The Emperor’s Soul and the whole thing with soul stamping. Probably my favorite novel, is the Way of Kings. My favorite book for nostalgia and not necessarily the one I like reading the most would be Warbreaker. It was one of the first books I read by him and I have good memories reading it.

  6. I’m new here, obviously by the fact I’m creating this thread. I’ve been wanting to get involved in this community and it’s been a long while since I’ve participated actively in a forum.

Anyways, I’ve read pretty much all of Sanderson’s books. I actually went to the Starsight release party and got some books signed and talked to him in person. It was a really cool experience. I still am missing a few books from my collection, but hopefully I can get them soon.
