I haven't read White Sand yet, just like you but from what I've seen in the WoBs, all questions on connection between Trell the character and the being(?) from Mistborn are RAFO. The chronology is like that: Wax and Wayne series is somewhere between Stormlight 5 and 7. And as I believe the pool has been confirmed as a perpendicularity, but even if it wasn't directly confirmed, Brandon has been tricky as he wanted it to look like Parshendi. But he can also be tricky enough to say this and later make use of the fact that the mask looks similar to the Parshendi. Nobody knows. EDIT: missed Elegy's comment somehow, so my comment is similar.

I was actually referring to the end of the Bands of Mourning and the 'being' that kills Edwarn. But I found a WoB (again looking for something different, I always find interesting WoBs accidentally) that kind of destroys my theory. Maybe with some thinking I'll be able to save parts of it, but now it seems wrong in the part about Odium. And, @tepidbread, I don't feel like Odium is going to free himself, at least not fully, at the end of 5th book, so he won't be able to get to Scadrial. But it's just my personal feeling.

Knowing that having an Allomantic and a Feruchemical power results in Resonance - does having powers from different worlds gives you the same 'upgrade'? Like a combination of Allomancy and Awakening? (Well, it mostly is talking about Hoid as I believe we haven't seen another person 'collecting' magics... )

Hello from Poland, too! I actually joined about two weeks ago--well, as you said exams are coming, so what is a better thing to do than creating theories?

I still don't get the part why you think that this letter was written to the Avatar on Obrodai. It can be that I missed something in all you quoted but I don't know why you believe it was a new Avatar that Hoid was writing to. If you could explain, I'll be grateful. Yes, there is an Autonomy's Avatar on Obrodai. But what I got from this is that in the past Hoid did something (probably some mess, like he always does) on Obrodai. And all the purpose I see in mentioning this Avatar in the letter is to tell Hoid not to go there again as he won't be welcome.

Okay, I was probably trying to get too much from this. The idea that Patji refers to himself as 'we' all the time is much easier and still works, you have me here. Just from curiosity, can I ask where you found this? I can't find anything.

Just to clarify, black is the most powerful color for awakening. But I like this, although I don't have any idea when it'd be useful. There are enough colors outside for awakening, and if you're locked in a colorless cell, there will be more precautions taken to make awakening impossible.

With this 'us' I definitely agree, it is most likely about all the Avatars in general but in the quote I repeated there is this part: 'you located us upon this world'. This feels like different 'us' if you get what I'm talking about. This one world - First of the Sun - and many Avatars. Or I'm misunderstanding this.

That's right, but I think that it can be also considered as staying true to what you believe is right. But generally this combo sounds like the most terrible idea ever. And as at first Arrogance didn't sound right to me, now I'm going to agree. And adding Cultivation would make things worse, definitely. It would give this Shard ability to adapt to every situation. It gets only scarier...

While reading this I got the impression that he wrote directly to Autonomy, Bavadin herself, with Patji responding in her place. Actually, what I find more interesting - if it is Patji responding, would that: mean, not only Patji is an Avatar but also other islands? Or at least there are another Avatars on the planet?

Wow, an even simpler explanation I haven't thought of. Thanks, so at last I agree that she is willing to intervene when other Shards decided on being together on one world. I feel like it makes my theory simpler as I don't have a problem with Autonomy anymore.

@KargerI remember reading it somewhere. Okay, found this WoB but I'm not sure if it is the one I was thinking of. It doesn't say anything on part of what I said, so I'm not that sure anymore.

Thanks for correction, I wasn't sure and couldn't find it. And I'm almost sure that she stands for every Shard being on its own. Okay, found the WoB I was thinking of as I wrote this:

Yeah, I agree Taravangian is too smart for something like that. But taking Odium as a way to save humans sounds very much like him. ...wait, doesn't it sound more like Honor than Odium? What if he picks up what is left of Honor, it would be even easier as it already doesn't have a vessel. (just a sudden thought as I am writing this, I'm not sure if it makes any sense) But, what I was going to say was in response to Mistborn.

Almost all the questions on Trell have been RAFOd, as Brandon said that it is going to be a huge part of next Mistborn era. And as I want to believe in connection between Trell and Odium, I really like this WoB: It doesn't really say anything, but taking the fact, that red means Shard that is corrupted by other, if I got this correctly, I believe it is quite safe to make some assumptions (as far any guessing can by safe in cosmere). There is another WoB : (I put accidentally a spoiler box above and have no idea how to delete it, sorry) It can be a pure coincidence, but all questions about certain Shards, or Trell being a Shard - RAFO. And what hit me in this one was the word 'related' (with an Avatar mentioned in question) that makes me believe in the theory that Trell is an Avatar of Autonomy corrupted by Odium who by the time of W&W books has partially freed himself what allowed him to influence something in the other part of cosmere. He is still stuck in Rosharian system but is able to use some of his power to continue destroying other Shards. And what supports the Autonomy part for me is the fact, that on Scadrial there were two Shards. And even if Bavadin doesn't want to intervene, it doesn't have to be true for all of her Avatars. I'd like to know what you think of this, even if it means my favourite theory being destroyed.

I am rather to something like 'I will not try to save everyone' (because of the moment he failed to swear it - and I only hope I remember correctly when it was) or a personal favourite 'I will live though other have died'. Although I also like those about trusting others mentioned above, I feel like it's actually a huge problem of Windrunners.

Favorite book by Brandon Sanderson
Nnatel replied to Kaladin's successor's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I'm totally for Warbreaker, although while reading I got stuck in the middle for quite a long time. Then opened it one day and ended up reading untill 4 a.m. (finishing the book). As I really enjoyed Stormlight, I didn't fall in love with it. Wow, Earthsea, love that. (sorry, had to react to someone mentioning one of my favourite fantasy). And I actually tried Name of the wind, love the way it is written, but I didn't manage to finish it. But it was years ago, I should probably try one more time. -
Did you cry: Responding to the saddest moments in the cosmere
Nnatel replied to ShardShaper's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Not any of the emotional scenes but just one from today: I'm currently rereading Mistborn Era 1 and was really, really close to crying when Vin said to Kelsier that she would like to see flowers one day. -
Welcome! Don't feel bad for the Oathbringer, I had kind of a month break in the middle of Warbreaker and it actually ended up as my favourite. And Tolkien, I love Tolkien, too. And Agatha Christie as well.

Definitely going to check it, thanks!

Hello new person, I'm here for only two days, so we're new together! You haven't mentioned Warbreaker as a read one, so if you haven't, definitely check it, I love this magic system.

Do I want to know what you are recruiting for?

Numbers on Roshar and a chronological doubt connected with Trell
Nnatel replied to Nnatel's question in Cosmere Q&A
Thanks for the answers and helping me to get things right. I hope it's all right if I add another question here. I came across this quite old WoB while looking for something different, but it's not really important. Now, I have a problem with multiple. Let's count Hoid as first and Demoux as second. But two just doesn't sound like multiple to me. My question is if I have missed anyone or there is any later WoB saying it's just those two? Or we just don't really know? -
Numbers on Roshar and a chronological doubt connected with Trell
Nnatel posted a question in Cosmere Q&A
I feel like it is a correct place to ask some things going around my head for some time, so I'll try. 1) I remember reading recently a WoB which more or less stated that on Roshar the 10 (for Honor) and 9 (Odium) have the same significance as 16 in general Cosmere. But I'm not actually really sure, so if someone can confirm, I'll be grateful. But the question is: doesn't it look strange to have 5 oaths of Knights Radiant? (I believe there are already theories on this, I just haven't seen any of them.) But I just feel like having 10 of them would be more logical - unless the number of them isn't this closely related to Honor, that would explain this. But oaths just seem to be really a Honoric (-ific?) thing. 2) I would like to make sure I get the chronology correctly, as I can't stop thinking about what or rather who Trell is. The second Mistborn era (Wax&Wayne) takes place after the first five books of Stormlight, am I right? (Yeah, I like the idea of Trell being a Shard (or Avatar) corrupted by Odium and I hope it is at least possible.) -
Okay, so as the previous people answered the 2nd and 3rd one, I can tell you something of the translations. Well, yes, they try to keep many of the made-up names. Or at least create something sounding similar. (I am Polish by the way, as you might start wondering as I give some examples.) The Allomancy is just 'Allomancja' - so they just made this word sound Polish. But actually more often (and it is a horrible problem as I try to get your theories) they translate it. Words such as Stormlight (Burzowe Światło, if anyone wanted to know...), names of the Shards (all but Odium, actually) are meaning more or less the same. Yeah, so I kind of have to keep up with two names of everything and for now I feel like I am in a big mess trying to understand what I can. (And also I am kind of afraid that I might have missed something just because they were unable to translate the double meaning - it was kind of a problem with Warbreaker, we have two versions of the translation of the title, by the way. Funny.)
