  1. "BURN!" yelled some random passerby.
  2. "I don't know, you seem scared." She shook her head. "It doesn't matter. Please take me there."
  3. (Except for my duels with Bean. Those were gold. )
  4. A slightly less good life philosophy.
  5. Star looked about. "Let's do this, then." She stepped through the portal.
  6. That sounds like a good life philosophy.
  7. He'll do that to you, Star. You know that's how this will end. There will be no fight. You'll understand Thought when this is all over, how she lost her Shard, reduced to nothing. I have to risk that. I have to risk everything. Don't make me turn back now. The hero can't lose, right? Not if they're actually a hero. You know, I can totally see there being a novel about a bunch of Narrators who get cocky with the story and then the rules of Silence come back to haunt them. I would totally read that.
  8. Star quickly scrambled away. She knew what that meant. She only wished she had been able to warn her fellow Narrator. Silence was something they'd never even seen before. And she couldn't deny that it was she who had ultimately summoned him.
  9. "RESPECT BEAN'S MEMORY!" Star yelled. Her voice was magnified, as Thought thought of Bean as AJ which caused... problems.
  10. Star shivered. She remembered seeing him through Astral's terrified eyes. It still haunted her.
  11. "I have two friends who are percussionists, but I doubt that's what you mean."
  12. Star sighed, shaking her head. "What did I even expect...?"
  13. Star put her hands on her hips. "No one taps their foot at me."
  14. "You do, of course, realize that TLT has over 200 more pages of content?"
  15. "As I said, he's a Narrator. He can write over your Narration anyway."
  16. "There's way too much information in there for that to be a valid Narration. You can't just skip from square one to the end - that's an abuse of your power."
  17. Star glared at Narrator Stick flatly. "It's finite. Meaning it doesn't last forever. Besides, you can only write over an authors' characters with their permission."
