  1. At the Place-palace's peak, there paced the Place's Protectors; a pack of powerful prowling punk penguins proudly parading in psychedelic purple pajamas and packing pickaxes, and patrolling a puny pink and puce polka-dotted postern door where the P was placed. However, the penguins, preoccupied with port, didn't properly perceive the 3 P pick-pocketing people popping in.

  2. Deceitful Truth was 3/4 lies and 1/4 honesty, so his say was rarely heard. Half Truth was always ignored; nobody ever believed him cause there was a 50% chance his information was right...or wrong. No one ever knew, Plagiarism was always stealing Half Truth's sources and credibility. Then there was White Lie; he was practically harmless, he just spared his friends the real details and made little excuses here and there. Bold-Faced was the stubborn one of the group; he never cared if people learned the truth, especially about himself...because (as he told his friends time and time again) his name wasn't actually Bold-Faced even though everyone knew it actually was!!! Broken Promises didn't even show up to the group, even though he told everyone he would. Exaggeration cried, "He must've been abducted by aliens!"

  3. Alas (despite his cries and pleas in the human tongue of which he little understood), Jim was alone. He warmly welcomed the embrace of solitude, knowing these were his last hours, nay, minutes! Jim the Earthworm, dying in the streets of Orlando, with nothing but the cold hard surface of the road to comfort him in his utter despair. So close, and yet, still so far! Poor Jim, the worm who never reached Disney World. Jim, the worm who was squished into the ground below like a little tattoo, forever scarring the little patch of asphalt before the gates to paradise. Oh woe is Jim! His fate doth befall many a kindred spirit, both worm and man! For what is the life of a worm to a human? Yea, even the worm's death unto a person? Heed these words, lest your death be as Jim's, forgotten and faded away! He goes to be with his fellow fallen worm-brethren. May his frail, wriggling frame be forever remembered in the hearts of those who held him most dear, in this life or the next.

    Farewell, Jim, farewell.

No, the whole forum is for Sanderson Fan Works. You are free to create your own topic with your own art in forum "Sanderson Art Works", but you posted your work in topic named "some fan arts of mine", "mine" meaning the creator of this topic, which is me, wcqaguxa. I did not invite anyone to share their arts on my topic so your posts are clearly spam unless they are related in any way to my posts, be in critique or praise.

I AM SO SORRY I thought they were all from different people, not just you! LOL yep that's on me, many many apologies! Ha ha ha I need to look a liiiiiiiiiittle closer next time.

  5. They all sang their toasting anthem:

We always tell 'em, we like tooooooooooast.

Now there's no secret to toasting perfectioooooooooon...

There's a dial on the side and you make your selectiooooooooon...

Push to the light or the dark and then, if it pops too soon press down again MAKE TOOOOOOOOOOOAST!!!!!!"

  6. Uncle Brandy cried, "A toast! To the ones who got it right the first time, the ones who eventually figured it out, the ones who italicized or underlined instead, the ones who double+ post, the ones who edit their posts a gazillion times, the ones who miss that there's a next page in the discussion and write a response to the wrong post, and finally to the ones who post a split second after someone else does in that small window of time where you just clicked the Submit Reply button and they got there first...Cheers!"

I wasn't a huge fan of the Reckoner series or of the Rithmatist, so I was wary of Brandon's YA work, but Skyward is flat out amazing. You should totally check it out.

Also, there's a short science fiction story that takes place in the same universe as Skyward. The details about this are in the spoiler tag below (because this isn't on the Skyward spoiler board).

If you haven't read Defending Elysium (the hyperlink will take you to Brandon's website where you can read the short story for free), you should really check it out. It's an amazing story and ties in to the Skyward story in pretty remarkable ways.

If you like audio books, there's a free masterfully narrated version of Defending Elysium that you can listen to it here, produced by the podcast site Starship Sofa, which is a remarkably awesome name for a sci-fi short story podcast site.

Sweet! Yeah it's a very good read for sure. Thanks!

Those are really nice @Ookla the Scrawny!
They all have nice, clean forms, are well rendered and have very interesting use of negative space.

My favorite is the Parshmen inspired form on the right, I really like how the brow ridge line swirls into the orbital of the eye.

If you are looking for things to doodle in a similar style, maybe try some forms based on starfighter shapes from Skyward.

Thanks! I'm going to try and design a few more. They'll all be a bit similar, but at the same time I don't want them too different.

Awesome, I'll look into it! I've been reading it online lately and man is it good.

  9. My drawings based on how things might look in the Cosmere (that aren't already described in detail).

The first is based off of Wyndle. The last two are based off of Parshmen skin.

May I ask you to not spam on my thread? Please delete your message and if you really like to post those doodles, make a separate thread for it. And if you want to say something here, make it relatable to the thread.

Yeah sure, I wouldn't count that as spam but ok. It's cosmere fan art, isn't it?

I'll take it off, though I don't really understand how it doesn't fit in this category...?
