    And Brandon said in one of the Skyward AMAs that Skyward is a revisiting of a technology from an earlier novella that wouldn't work in Cosmere. Cyto fits that perfectly. I'm also reminded of a seemingly throwaway line from Defending Elysium: Spensa is about 16-17 years old, so she fits that theme as well.
