also, I would love to read white sand, but i am broke as heck and dont know anyone who has it. At the same time though, im not saying its bad, I just hate the trope of "my father doesn't think that i'm worth anything even though im actually hecking talented as heck, and nothing ill do will ever be enough for him" its just tiring. however, I didnt actually read the book and after more than a single thought that probably definitely changes, or he becomes a low-key villain and i can work with that
