My name is John and I am excited to be here on the 17th Shard site. I have just completed my first read of the Stormlight Archives and have been overjoyed by this new world I have discovered. I have been a long time Fantasy / Sci-Fi fan and do as much reading as possible. Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time has been a constant in my life and after completing that massive series some 10 years ago I began exploring some of Brandon Sanderson's other work. I had a few friends who took his classes while in college and they demanded that I read Stormlight. I thank them for it daily. The ideals are something that we need in the world today. And As I am also a teacher and amateur writer myself I have begun to try and encourage my students with this type of thinking and storytelling. I have just begun reading Mistborn and look forward to all that is to come.
