Yeah... I kinda want him killed or lynched or something. Though I wouldn't mind him scanned either, as he'd then be a very valuable village player.
-
I agree. But there is Fain in this game. And I do think it's a possibility that one of them voted for Sart as a poke vote and then later realized that a bandwagon had formed, but it was too late to back off. I don't think this is likely, which is why I've backed off Wilson entirely and Meta mostly. But I do still feel like something about them, Meta in particular, feels off.
-
Ah, figured there was something. I'm on my laptop again for the week, so I should be more on top of these things now.
-
So, I thought the cycle ended at 9 pm EST. Am I wrong? I've been off on the rollover time this whole game.
-
Ah, okay. I see that, I guess. I was actually considering the same thing but reversed. I was wondering if Wilson or Meta was trying risky gambits by going so aggressive so early, knowing that they tend to die early as experienced players. Lopen. I'd rather not Meta be Mayor.
-
Wait, what? Me? I can promise you I'm a Villager.
-
The more I think about it, I actually kinda suspect Sheep. Not sure why though. Also, Twei, I haven't seen you in a while. Any thoughts?
-
I still haven't decided where I'll place my vote. I'm down to Gunshy, Meta, or Bard. I really don't have anything strong for any of them though, and as I type this, I'm not sure I want to vote for any of them. Also, Straw, please don't declare your scanning target in thread. It only tells the Darkfriends who to detain or Padan Fain who to corrupt. You can tell us after you check them, but even that doesn't help in that they can be converted right after. I would actually recommend Wilson as a scan target, but please do not tell us who you actually choose.

El, yeah, HS and I have talked before and he's mentioned that he finds Sart's Playstyle annoying. So that's not something new.

So, as promised: Post-Mortem Thoughts I think the evil team, being balanced as it was on the experience and skill of the players, was an interesting one to watch. It messed with the meta, as was evident during the game. I may have balanced it slightly too much for the village though, and think that I definitely gave them one too many kills until Burnt was "killed" and brought back without a Bow. The Soulcasters were a bit too overpowered in this game. In LG5, it was the Pain Knives, which took only one action, and roleblocked all three of the target's actions. In this version, the Soulcasters allowing for role manipulation was almost a scanning role, which is how Twei used it. In another version of this game, I would make it so that they were like the Pain Knives and redirected a random action, or only allow them to select an action period to redirect. The Thieves. Boy, these two had it rough. I realized that Thieves need at least 7 cycles for them to win. Obviously, this game went way past that, but there are plenty of games that don't. That 7 cycle minimum also assumes they never miss a steal. Which is very difficult. With the items I started them off with, I think 9 cycles would've been good. 10 would've been the most expected. And that's the hard part. The game has to go so long for them to have a chance at winning. I still haven't figured out a way to fix this, but I would remove the Grandbow from the list of items they need to steal. I want to say congratulations and commend the Ghostbloods for a job well done. They were on the low end of the spectrum, player wise and item wise, but they almost pulled it off so many times. Even factoring in Kas's unexpected dropout and Orlok's unfortunate early death, they almost had the nobles near the end. MVPs Nyali Wilson Elbereth This game, I decided to pick a player of each alignment as the MVP for their team. First, the Village MVP, Nyali. This is probably fairly evident to anyone who watched the game at all, but Nyali's logic and deduction skills dominated the game for the nobles. Time and time again, the Ghostbloods' plans were frustrated or outright thwarted by her logic. Over and over, they were inhibited by her plans and her discussions. Well done, especially for your first game here! Second, Wilson, the Ghostblood MVP. Another obvious choice, as Wilson manipulated and led most of the nobles by the nose for a good portion of the game. Many times, she was almost outed or lynched, but she kept on pushing and she pulled all the major suspicions off of her. With the heavy suspicions on her in the early game, I thought she'd be a goner by Cycle 6. But she pulled through till the end, fighting and pushing for what seemed like village goals, but really served her own purposes. Lastly, Elbereth as the Thief MVP. She used her items for maximum information gain and managed to pull out information in PMs. She only missed two steals the whole time she lived. She created that doc linked in the OP and tracked items down and around and managed to almost reach her goal, thwarted only by a Grandbow. Well done to everyone involved in this game! There were so many times where I had no idea who would win or when the balance would shift sharply to one team, only to swing back the next cycle! It was very entertaining to watch. Thank you all for playing the last game I'll GM before I leave.

Hellscythe also roleclaimed to me. I'm willing to believe his claim for now, but it doesn't put him on either side actually. Have you roleclaimed yet, Bard?

Storms, I keep missing those little things on my phone.

Why would Fain show up as regular villager and not as Padan Fain?

Michael Jackson. (Don't worry, I know it's not him. He just popped up for some reason)

Ah, got it. So far, the number of lies I've told this game is 1. So, I'm getting there. It's hard to turn off the info gathering liar though.
-
I did know you were Aiel-blooded fairly early on, yes. I'm just saying a claim proves nothing. You're not about to claim Fain to Meta.

...I will back her up on that first point. You better word anything you say to her exactly right, or you'll know you screwed up. Yes... And? Everyone else seems to be of the opinion that his Channeler should hide. I'm throwing out the possibility that they don't have to. I think it's pointless for them to hide, regardless of their alignment. They're a dead person walking. I haven't read WoT, so I don't know what the Black Ajah is... To your last point about the Channeler: Again, so? Wilson, role claiming N1?! Wow. Not sure what to think of this. Also, not sure how a claim backs you up in the slightest. I can claim to be anything I want, that doesn't mean I can't be Fain. I wouldn't call that harping on anything. Meta's not using it as conclusive evidence, just a suggestion. Though, as we saw in LG20, multiple very experienced, skilled players can be put on a team together. I actually also had the thought that one of you two was Fain. Lastly, yes, I agree that Meta seems too aggressive. More so than usual and less composed and calculated than usual. But, I have to say, so are you.

I will be retracting my mayor vote for Bard until we at least hear his story. My new mayor vote is for Hael.

If El misses my QF15 (edit: QF14, I mean) lynch strategy. So, from what I gather with the situation with Nyali, Gamma forgot to inform her that she was roleblocked and she c/ped that PM in here, which is now edited out? I assume that post also had her deciding to leave the game? First, Nyali, sorry about that. It sucks when that happens. But, GMing is a lot. There were multiple times in LG20 where I PMd someone after rollover, sometimes a day or two after, forgetting to tell them that they received an item or something. Heck, I even killed Burnt on accident. these things happen and, while frustrating, shouldn't be cause to quit a game. I hope you come back and can continue to help. Back to the game now. I think Elodin may be evil, yes. Though, that doesn't mean you should stop playing like this, Elodin! He's probably in my top three suspects, along with Bard and Meta(which I still can't explain). Yes, I know. Nyali was blocked, so it means nothing about Bard. Ah, but it does. Now we know that both Elodin and Bard were detained or that Nyali specifically was roleblocked. Granted, now that I'm actually writing this, it doesn't seem to help much. I still am curious, as now we have two possible Whitecloaks. Nyali, if you do come back, can you say if you were detained or just unsuccessful? Orlok's Channeler, I propose you come out. You are going to die in two days. Nothing to do about that. Why would the Darkfriends waste a kill on you? Why would Fain corrupt you? I propose you inform us if you used Water or Air last night as it may clear up quite a bit.

Are you claiming Whitecloak or Chaneller now? I don't get what the evidence is.
