  1. I picked up a new fantasy universe about a month back. So incredibly happy that it was stormlight archive. Tore through WoTK, WoR and OB and will now start the task of properly reading this again. But before I do, I just wanted to add my thoughts to the flow: The Yays!: Jasnah Kholin going on the OP rampage in Thyleneh The unexpectedly tight connection to Warbreaker DESTROY EVIL! Rock the archer - there will be a price to pay The deeply satisfying resolution of Dalinar's inner struggles Pai's rebellion Maya! The Nays: The redemption of Szeth was too easy I felt that the deep personal struggles of Shallan were boiled down to boy troubles. This could have been far more interesting Amaram was lost as a set-piece. He could have been Kaladin's big bad The questions: Honour's Perpendicularity lives, does that mean unity has a deeper meaning? Moash is going to be a very interesting character. I think he will turn eventually, he's far too self aware to not do so otherwise WTF is going on in Shinovar. I'd love to explore the place given the importance it has on the Human occupation of Roshar
  2. I'd go for TenSoon. I loved the character's transformation and the journey it took. If I had to choose a 'core' character, I'd go for Vin. She's one of my favourite protagonists anywhere. Also, I am quite fascinated by the element of 'breaking' all Sandorson characters have to go through to get their claim to magic. Unlike the standard fantasy trope of flinging an unsuspecting 'reader' character into adventure, there's a price to pay. I think that this is something of an allegory to fantasy readership in general. You invest into the world and pay the price to experience such awesome moments!
  3. Hello, a Cosmere acolyte here all the way from India. Looking forward to trading theories, discussing favourite moments and sharing the wait for the next one the come. Also, I never thought I'd say this for an author, but Brandon writes way too much. It's hard to keep up! Journey before destination...
