Theoretically could you store enough connection in a duralumin metalmind and then tap it to increase your connection to your metalminds? I know Identity locks a metalmind to the creator unless stored in aluminum while creating the metalmind.
The end goal being that you could tap metalminds from a distance because of your drastically increased connection to them.
Would it help if you started with 1 large metal mind that you split a chunk off to form jewelry, and the rest is a giant block of metal stored in your basement. It takes time (very little in the grand scheme of things) in the cognitive realm for an objects perception of itself to react to changes happening to it in the physical realm.

Could a Fullborn use Gold Compounding and Medallions/Metalminds to spike out their own abilities heal from the loss then spike themselves with the new spikes? Enhancing said abilities and avoiding the Identity issues that comes from stapling bits of other’s spiritwebs to your soul.

Do you think a bondsmith (Dalinar, Ishar or Navani) could enhance Hoid’s Allomancy in the same way Dalinar enhanced Shallan’s Lightweaving?
I had the thought that Lerasium grants allomancy by increasing a being’s connection to Preservation, so theoretically he could strengthen a Allomancer’s Allomancy by temporarily enhancing their connection to Preservation.

Could a Chromium Misting interact with Spores safely by leeching the Investiture as the spore consumes water to transform therefore cancelling out the transformation?
There’s probably a better way to phrase that but i haven’t had any coffee yet, lol.

Listening to Shardcast Episode right now and they’re talking about why do the Fused retain their surgebinding when resurrected and Kelsier lost his Allomancy when he was made a cognitive shadow.
My thought is the Fused powers come from Odium and their Immortality comes from Odium.Scadrian’s are of Preservation and Ruin, and yes while Allomancy is of Preservation, Kelsier was made a cognitive shadow by Preservation’s power, Ruin was not involved. Maybe thats the disfunction.

Do you think Wayne could have compounded gold by burning his goldminds to survive the explosion? If i remember correctly metal only has to be in your body to be burned, its not required to be in your stomach.

I was honestly expecting Wayne to take up Discord.

Its actually kind of genius, by creating atium and allowing the lerasium to return to preservation he could theoretically rebalance himself. Ruin is marginally stronger then preservation due to humans having slightly more preservation in them. The Pits no longer exist to gather the excess.

The Metallic Arts are Genetic, its possible his current body doesn’t possess the Mistborn gene. I’m of the opinion that they retrieved his bones threw them into a Mistwraith then spiked it.

Imagine if he showed up wielding Taln’s Blade.

Well, their chances of survival would be greatly higher than an ordinary person caught without shelter, but it really depends on how lucky they are. If a big enough boulder hits them, or if they get blown off a tall enough cliff, they would die. They could be blown around, but their increased weight would help them with that, and they probably wouldn't have to worry about breaking their skull. They'd also be fine if lightning hit them. So basically, they would have a much better chance of surviving, but going out in a highstorm without protection is never completely safe.
Unless you’re Dalinar, then you laugh at Highstorms as you retrieve your favorite knife.

Do we know if a feruchemist burning lerasium would become a fullborn or would it overwrite their feruchemy? They cannot naturally occur in nature because the two powersets interfere with eachother. Lord Ruler gave himself allomancy with the Well of Ascension so we can’t really use him as an example.

The kandra have spikes that grant physical strength rather then one of the metallic arts, perhaps inquisitors possess similar spikes.

Yeah it is the same Fortune ability that Hoid uses to know where he needs to be (not that Hoid is necessarily using Feruchemy, but the same Cosmere mechanism).
The connection to atium/electrum is interesting. Sounds weird at first, as one would expect there to be no baseline "future sight" to store, but if it's a gut instinct sort of thing...
Or alternately it might be less direct future sight, more a feeling about how things are going and what I should be doing right now.

Where does another 300 year time jump come from? Era 3 is supposed to be 1980s tech and Era 2 is early 20th century tech, so I'd expect more like 70-80 years, maybe less if the interaction of Basin and Southern technology accelerates development.
Originally there were 3 eras, The Final Empire, 1980’s Computer Boom, Futuristic Space Opera/Era. Brandon wanted to keep Scadrial in peoples minds so he wrote Alloy of Law to connect era 1 and 2, he enjoyed it so much that it became era 2, 1980’s era 3, space opera era 4.

Rhythm of War - Chapter 84. Scholar"Midius once told me … told me we could use Investiture … to enhance our minds, our memories, so we wouldn’t forget so much." (Kelek)Rhythm of War - Chapter 93. Strong Enough"Veil became Stormlight, glowing brightly. The color faded from her, becoming pure white. Her memories integrated into Shallan’s. Her skills became Shallan’s. And Shallan recognized everything she had done"Anyone else find it weird that Shallan can store memories in Stormlight?2

If atium was actually an alloy then we don’t know what an atium mind does do we?

Conceptual Limitations probably, also these people live in a pre industrial magical society they don’t think the same way we do.

I wonder if you could use Ruin and Preservation’s Tones/Rhythms to separate or stabalize Harmonium.

Been thinking about this since I finished RoW, what if Sazed hasn't figured out how to adjust Ruin and Preservation's Rhythms? He views them as opposing forces, could explain why Harmonium is so volatile. Navani and Raboniel and then Navani and The Sibling had to adjust the Tones as they were singing, bringing them closer together to create the Rhythms of War and "Science".

What if Adolin seeks out the Nightwatcher to heal Maya?

Kaladin Stormblessed.
Reborn.
Also did not see Navani’s bonding of The Sibling at all was expecting her to bond Dabbid or Rlain so “Journey before Destination, Bastard!” was pretty awesome. Her finally understanding that letting Gavilar’s final words to her shape her life is wrong and that realization is what makes her worthy of Radiance....just wow.

Clearly Pattern is a lot better about not screaming his head off whenever he or his Radiant touches a deadeye than Syl is.
Radiants hear the Deadeye’s screams, it’s not their bondmate screaming.

Seekers from Scadrial might end up being important if manipulating the rhythm of investiture becomes important later in the various series.

If you stored identity in a metalmind while healthy, then drew it out while unhealthy/injured could it heal you? What if you were compounding that uninjured identity so you could draw on vast amounts of it.
I had this thought while remembering that in the Stormlight Archive Kaladin’s scara resist healing because he sees them as a part of him, same with the Tattoo not “sticking”.
Ive posted this in the Mistborn section since im specifically asking about metalminds and compounding sorry if i should have stuck it in the Cosmere Section.

Sigzil and Auxilary Question
in Cosmere Discussion
Posted
Do you think that Sigzil and Auxilary took up windrunner oaths? Because I feel like Sunlit Man makes more sense that way? I dont know if Honor's investiture would allow it but the Unoathed show that Highspren can create unorthadox bonds with Humans and Singers.
