As far as I know nothing has been has been mentioned regarding his family.  Now that you mention it, it certainly is odd.

I'm a fan of the theory that he or Palona is the leader of the Ghostbloods or one of the secret societies on Roshar, so I suppose the lack of a family can play into that somehow.

Doing some research for a fic, and I wanted to see if anyone had any info I'm missing about Sebarial's family situation. My understanding is that he and Palona are together, but not married (Palona's choice), and that's it, but was he married before that? Does he have kids from a previous marriage? I'm assuming there's no ex-wife or divorce situation, but it feels wrong to me that Sebarial would never have had a partner before Palona, given his status and his age. It also feels weird that he wouldn't have any heirs.

Hoping I'm not missing something obvious, thanks for any tips!

I really, really appreciate that! If I was a lighteyes I'd say singing was my calling (also i wouldn't have to work for a living so that would be handy as well)

Hi Everyone! So excited to share Gemheart, a love song from Navani to Dalinar, released on my band's last album (3 of us are Sanderfans). There's so much about that relationship that I love seeing represented in fiction, and some of Navani's later POV chapters really struck me by how pragmatic her love was for Dalinar, even though it was hard and unfair at times. So I wrote some lyrics about it.

To keep with the topic of the thread, the Kaladin/Renarin ship is actually some of the sweetest and softest fic I've read in the SA universe, highly recommend. I think Renarin's name ("born unto himself") gives us a clue that we probably won't be seeing any meaningful pairings with him, at least for a long while, but I do also headcanon him as gay, if he ever gets around to it

Seriously though I NEVER thought about this pairing (despite obviously lots of time thinking of both those buddies). Really looking forward to them meeting whenever that happens, even though I have a feeling that the story is never going to deliver Kaladin into a pairing that way, because there is just SO much in his story already. I don't have as much of a handle on what the future books have in store as it seems like a lot of people do, but even so, I think Kaladin is probably just married to pain. 

Thankfully we have fics, and boy oh BOY do we have fics for this. I also fully realize that this thread has cooled off in a major way, but storms I have such feelings about our sweet boy and it's so nice to pop open this thread and read everyone's wild speculations!

I love these! A lot of the music that seems to have been generated is sort of big/orchestral, which I think is really unique and cool. I feel like the Rhythms of Sanderson is such a great name for that kind of output. It seems a little grand for my kind of goofy pop-rock, but these words are definitely accepted!
