Mid-Range Game 62: In The Shadow of Ash
Fifth Scholar replied to StrikerEZ's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Amanuensis I have a reason you should hop on Bip and not me today. She has claimed to scan me with Tin, but got blocked. I have claimed this is the result of my using electrum. Therefore, there are four possibilities: 1) we are both village and neither of us are lying, in which case pragmatically this game is over, but pretending for a second it isn’t, it’s still better to leave me alive 2) she is evil and telling the truth, and I am Village and telling the truth. She should get exed in this situation, which I believe to be the true state of affairs. 3) we are evil together and organised this as a distancing ploy. You can vote her and still get rid of an Elim, and it’s the Inquisitor to boot. 4) Bip is village and I am evil. However, she has still scanned me as basically doing nothing this cycle, since only electrum could negate her result. In this world, you still need to find which of Araris and TJ are evil, and that person, again, should be your priority target. You should also be asking why I am burning electrum as a elim when I had copper sitting right there. So I really see no reason for you to be keeping your vote on me over Bip or whomever of Araris/TJ you think is the Inquisitor, and your continued refusal to go back to her is making me think you two are simply in league.- 716 replies

Well, it’s worth knowing because she is either a convert!Tineye or in league with one, or we have three village Tineyes.….so actually we can probably vote Biplet pretty safely, yeah?- 716 replies

In between classes right now but Aman I burned electrum last night as well so unless Bip is rolling with the results of a teammate, she’s telling the truth; an action against me would have been negated. I need to put some more thought into Inq!Araris and Inq!TJ worlds but I do think Araris’ suggestion that the Inquisitor didn’t convert till later probably holds true (or he’s the convert, but again, shelving this world) I just cannot read Aman village :/- 716 replies

Okay maybe but why is your vote on me and not Bip? By your own admission in these posts, it's implied by e!Wiz and if you're insisting on a world where you're not Inquisitor, I don't know where else you turn for the Inquisitor unless, again, you want to accuse Araris or TJ, which you should do sooner rather than later so we don't lose- 716 replies

My brother in the Ja, you can be as convinced of this as you like but I am the Inquisitor in exactly zero worlds and I feel like that's the elim we should be going for, yeah? So if TKN didn't run into some kind of action interference, this strengthens e!Bip credentials because WizKas could have killed while she spiked, and the scan on her could easily have been faked. If Araris is evil, the conversion happened C1 instead. I still think there's no reason to go after TJ. Biplet is the obvious Inq candidate and the impermanence of Aman's vote on her is giving me pause about him being the convert as well. I suppose a world we haven't given much thought to is one where the Inquisitor didn't convert till N3 or N4 in which case we can't really strike Aman off any lists @Biplet any clarity you can offer would be wonderful- 716 replies

What? If I was evil and thought you were a Thug, this is literally the worst possible course of action because you still only have one vote and I wouldn't kill that vote with a misexe. It's way easier to kill two of Araris or TJ or Bip and just win by vote majority. I mean, I'm sympathetic to a Bip exe, but altogether I think your death makes more sense to accomplish first, because contingent upon Bip's claim, she's a Tineye whom you have converted, and Occam's Razor puts you as a more likely Inquisitor. The alternative - that you were simply converted - is also palatable because it will get Araris and TJ off my back and give us one more cleared person (or more likely just incentivise your team to kill me lol) and then we can go Inq hunting tomorrow, or rather whoever is left alive can. If you want me to switch off of you, I would need a good reason to suspect Araris or TJ more than you. Bip is a question mark who's probably evil, but if you're village, whomever of Araris/TJ is actually the convert or is evil is the more important person to catch because they're the person duping us who will win the 2v1. Until then, I'm assuming it's you, and having duplicate Pewterarms makes little sense to me anyway. Considering that, if I am evil, we had this same situation last cycle and didn't lose to a hammer, maybe this is reason to suspect I'm not a convert? EDIT: would also like to note that I PMed TJ for the first time in five days and saw that he'd been looking over our PM as recently as three hours ago when there was no role information of consequence in it, so I feel like that points further towards v!him who is actually trying to do analysis and solve things- 716 replies

Wait. Duh. This makes a ton of sense. I still think we kill Aman first, but this makes him a convert who got Tin, and helps me keep my v!reads of you and TJ straight. If he’s the Inq, I’m also still happy to be wrong- 716 replies

Mid-Range Game 62: In The Shadow of Ash
Fifth Scholar replied to StrikerEZ's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I am definitely feeling Aman over Araris but would like to hear his actual role if it isn’t Inquisitor, as I think there is no way that he’s a Thug. If he claims Tineye, then he and Bip can get into a claim war and I’ll sort things out from there >> @Biplet any interesting Tin results? TJ, I would note that I am an exceptionally silly choice of convert because of the public claim. It’s the Feanor problem from QF62. Yeah, I’m a power role, but it’s easier to keep me alive and keep floating the possibility of conversion than to actually convert me and try to fend off the suspicion. Fwiw, I did also make myself more deliberately unappealing by burning through my steel and duralumin. I’m now basically a glorified random role that can’t actually use the most important things, and am probably less good role wise than someone who’d bring consistency to the team, i.e., a regular Misting. So I’m more suspicious of you as someone who keeps trying to push this line of reasoning.- 716 replies

Entailments v!Wiz = notInq!Araris and Bip v!TKN = probablynotInq!Aman I am more willing to accept the first entailment than the second…and it is interesting that the second group is also voting as a block where the first has more diversity- 716 replies

Distrust of you and Wizard and Mat and an inability to decide between them. I trust my prior v!Mat credences, will better trust @Biplet and Wiz if she can confirm that he has her role correct, and so I think I will go with Aman I am quite busy, sorry >>- 716 replies

Why am I drifting back to v!Mat this PoE made so much more sense with e!Mat I do think Kas is a Seeker, given that nobody has counterclaimed Seeker on him. This doesn’t mean he’s a village Seeker, but he’s probably not lying about his role. Makes a Kas/Araris team less plausible as well. @Biplet what do you think of non-Matrim personages? @JNV who are your suspicions? @Araris Valerian any ideas on Stick?- 716 replies

Curious why you are v-reading Bip, but I am not averse to the list otherwise. eh soddit I might as well go after my legal representation. Kasimir Lawyer, defend thyself also @Biplet @|TJ| @The Known Novel @Araris Valerian @JNV whichever of you have not been told by your doc-mates might be interested to learn that I am the Mistborn responsible for the Xino and Ash kills d1 reread has reinforced v!Stick, made me suspect v!Mat, and made me keep side-eyeing TJ. Mid-Range Game 62: In The Shadow of Ash
Fifth Scholar replied to StrikerEZ's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I say that I probably deserve execution but would like to escape it anyways My inquisitor shortlist does include Araris but I am receiving word that it possibly should not, so I think I want to look in <Mat, Bip, JNV, Aman, Kas> assuming I am not getting the wrong vibes off TJ and Stick. I’m okay with a JNV vote for now but I should do actual analysis at some point. Kinda tough when all my suspicions and leads got blown to bits yesterday and turned up Village >>- 716 replies

Mid-Range Game 62: In The Shadow of Ash
Fifth Scholar replied to StrikerEZ's topic in Sanderson Elimination
What has happened? Well, pretty much one of two things. We have the Exe (Fadran) and one elim kill (Bookwyrm/Ash/Xino) as permanent kills. This leaves us with two kills unaccounted for. possibilities 1. Striker has put a full-time Coinshot in a 14-player game. That’s a bold strategy, Cotton, let’s see how it plays out for him…oh it’s another dead Lurcher. Kangaroo flashbacks are intensifying >> So I think this doesn’t work, because it would also require a MB who pulled Steel C1, and requires a permanent Village kill role in a fairly small game. Discounting for now. 2. A Mistborn (remember Inquisitor can’t draw Steel) pulled Steel C1 and decided to burn some duralumin with it in an attempt to play hero ball. This explains some of the kills (Ash, Bookwyrm, who were both under suspicion) but fails to account for why Ash was killed when he was up for the shrek until right before rollover. So with that small massacre we are already looking at 2:8 or 3:7 odds. I feel like I want to start looking in <Bip, Araris, Mat> for an Inquisitor. Will throw another vote on Araris for now. @The Known Novel Did you Snap?- 716 replies
