Ah okay. I haven't been on an actual forum in like 10 years, forgot about rules like that. I could see the case for either argument for Shardblades cutting aluminum. On one end, it resists Investiture, on the other end, it isn't "alive" so it should theoretically cut like stone does.

Hoid mentions in OB that he has the ability know where he needs to be at all times, but doesn't know what he needs to do. To me, that sounds like a Nightwatcher Blessing/Curse. Do we have any WOB on why Hoid has that ability? Edit: I'm new to this forum and also new to the Cosmere theorycrafting world, so if there is anything painfully obvious please point it out.

I also just read a question and answer to and from Sanderson mentioning that a Shardblade would not cut aluminum, and it implies that Nightblood's sheathe is aluminum as well, which implies that it is generally just resistant to all forms of Investiture.

I appreciate the quick response. Is this based on the idea from Mistborn that it is "allomantically inert"? That's the direction I was going with this in my head. I don't remember for sure, but I'm pretty sure Vivenna said she got it from Hoid.

Do we know what metal is used to block the Blue/yellow void spren from sensing the soulcasters? If not, are there any theories on it?
