  1. So yeah, obviously SPOILERS! If you haven't read the book skip this post First of all hi I didn't know whether to put this in the theory sub-forums or here, but i don't think i'll be doing much of theorizing so yeah... here it is. This is mostly just questions wonderings about the Recreance twist that happens at the end of the book. So surprise surprise (then again this is such a classic Sanderson twist that i'm surprised i was surprised yet again by it), humans are the actual Voidbringers. They came to Roshar riding that perpendicularity after they broke their world and brought Odium with them apparently. So to break this down: 1 - Humans not native to Roshar 2 - Humans were Odium's subjects in the beginning 3 - Humans arrive on Roshar and ask for shelter after destroying their planet 4 - Odium comes to Roshar after his humans or slightly before them and they follow him to Roshar? 5 - Honor and Cultivation were already there and had strict laws for the parshmen against using Surges 6 - What happens here? This is where the book doesn't give any explanation. Somewhere between the humans arrival and the first Desolation, the humans and the parshmen swap deities, namely the parshmen start playing in Odium's court and the humans switch to Honor. Why? The only thing i can imagine is that the humans got scared from what their voidpower could do and seeing Honor's more harmonious ways, decided to switch sides... and the parshmen being ostracized from the Surges all this time, jumped instantly on the Odium train, cos he was all like "yeaah come feel, here's some power, destroy, hate, bla bla bla" Also somewhere in there Odium gets shackled, but i guess that's gonna be explained more in depth later on in the next books. I also HOPE that we will get a better explanation for the number 6 here, cos this is not something that can just be glossed over. This is no small change in morals and culture that happened when the two races swapped gods. P.S. Also the other thing that bugs me is this... Back before the Recreance the Radiants were knowledgeable and wise enough to understand that it wasn't Honor's power that caused them to destroy their planet, but Odium's. Then why would they start doubting themselves and fearing the same thing happening? The Recreance shouldn't have even happened in the first place. Or maybe those Radiants were just that dumb and didn't make a distinction between Honor's power and Odium's? Well that's it I'm just left a bit... empty and needing some more clarification about the whole humans were the original voidbringers thing which i hope will be forthcoming in 2020 (omg i have to wait another 2-3 years for the next book )
