  1. I haven’t seen anyone post this yet the person who made it can be found here: https://www.google.com/amp/tatter-demallion.tumblr.com/post/100307590545/i-love-that-dalinar-basically-ordered-the/amp
  2. The idea of Mraize being the “anti-Hoid” is a really cool idea. Although I feel like it wouldn’t be Mraize but maybe the Ghostbloods as whole because I feel like Hoid has always been a “I’ll do it on my own” type of person whereas the Ghostbloods are an entire organization
  3. So it’s basically my first semester of college all over again?
  4. @Mondaysjelly @aemetha I don’t think I’ve ever been corrected that quickly in my life! Although I am sad to see my chicken theory go, the fact that it’s an aviar is way more interesting
  5. I’ve heard people say that his bird is an Aviar but it doesn’t seem like there’s anything to suggest that it is. Granted if someone were to have one, it’s probably Mraize. Personally I think it’s funnier to just assume it’s a normal run of the mill green chicken
  6. I laughed so hard at this my roommate thought I was going to pass out
  7. There’s always another secret
  8. As much as I love Oathbringer, I was a little disappointed that we didn’t find out a lot of new information about the Ghostbloods. They seem to be opposed to the Sons of Honor who wanted to bring back the Desolation, yet they tried to kill Jasnah, who was, obviously, opposed to the idea of Rosharan Armageddon. If I remember correctly, they don’t think very highly of Taravangian and the Diagram and sort of brush them off as insignificant. They’re aware of the Skybreakers but Mraize’s note seemed ambivalent about them. They’re also not guided by any real morals that I can see, so it’s doubtful they’re motivated by a “for the greater good” ideology. I think it’s fair to say that their interests extend beyond Roshar but that’s about it. So what could they possibly be after?
  9. Maybe it’s the Dawnshards? That could be what makes them such powerful weapons
  10. I second that, especially considering they apparently bond with music spren.
  11. Maybe it's Iyatil? She's from Southern Scadrial and a Worldhopper. Considering that Allomancy is supposed to be incredibly rare to the point where they don't have Mistborn there, her described speed and the way she can seemingly disappear could be a sign that she has a hemalurgic spike letting her burn pewter and either steel or iron.
  12. Its been confirmed that humans on Roshar came from Ashyn https://wob.coppermind.net/events/174-oathbringer-portland-signing/#e8243 I also think some humans may have worshiped Odium. Odium says that he's not hatred but passion in Dalinar's vision. The Fused reference passion a lot and it's really noticeable during the first conversation Leshwi has with Moash. Then there's the Passions in Thaylenah and although it's not mentioned a lot, when it is the language seems pretty similar to how the Fused talk about passion. I'm not sure if it means anything but I think it's interesting.
  13. I've noticed them as well. The thing is, they only appear on those two maps. If my memory is correct, the annotations on the map of Thaylen city is meant to Jasnah's and I think the map of the palace in Kholinar is hers as well. The symbol looks a bit like the glyph on the cover of Edgedancer but it's not exactly the same.
  14. I was thinking about that the other day. Sigzil mentions that Herdazian fingernails look similar to carapace. I feel like that implies that Herdazians are descended from both parshmen and humans, although I only really have the fingernail comment to go on. It doesn't seem far-fetched though because you have the Natan people who have blue skin from Aimian ancestry.
  15. I would say that if someone can understand LOTR, they are more than ready for Stormlight. Honestly, I would say that Stormlight is way easier to read than LOTR because those books are DENSE. I would say that if someone around thirteen had read something along the lines of the Hobbit and probably Eragon, which was my first introduction to high fantasy.
  16. I just hope one of them is how much time he actually spends coming up with insults for the lighteyes.
  17. Are Ryshadium native to Roshar? Early on in Oathbringer, Renarin mentions that Ryshadium don't fit with other horses- they have stone hoofs and don't need horseshoes. I think it's also fair to say that they're not explicitly bred by the Shin like normal horses, as we see a herd of them in one of Dalinar's flashbacks. This, plus a line from Arcanum about a species of horse that forms a bond with spren, makes me think they are native. The problem is that, aside from the hooves and their size, I don't think there's anything else distinguishing them from ordinary horses. So, where or how exactly did the Ryshadium come to be on Roshar? My only guess is they're somehow the result of some terrifying interbreeding between horses and chasm fiends but I'm curious to know if anyone else has ideas that are less likely to give me nightmares.
  18. Hey everyone, been a fan for a while. With the release of Oathbringer and all the new theories that were bound to start flying, I figured this was the perfect time to join the forums
  19. Just to be on the safe side, I’m going to use a spoiler tag, so if you haven’t finished Oathbringer, you’ve been warned
