I guess I'm the fastest reader here... I started my first read-through in the summer of last year and finished it within the week. I read way too fast... But yeah as everyone has been saying, definitely start with book 1. You'll be way out of your depth (by about 9000 pages) thats a HUGE amount to miss out on, and its all really good! -zeus
