  1. Oh Almighty... I would almost consider reading this expect that I've lined up my rereading of WoK and WoR so that I won't get impatient waiting for Oathbringer. It'll probably be almost out by the time I finish WoR. Fingers crossed. I CAN RESIST THE TEMPTATION!
  2. -From this year's State of the Sanderson. What the storms? Did the ALMIGHTY B-Sand just send a little sizzle-sazzle? A frizzle frazzle of a dizzle dazzle of a SICK BURN!? RUST AND RUIN THIS MAN CANNOT BE CONTAINED! I'm taking bets here folks. Which contemporary fantasy authour is San-GAWD-DAYUM-derson riffing here? My money's on the less obvious Patrothfuss, if only because Georgie Boy is almost TOO memey to be referencing here. P.S. Before you point it out, I understand the the implied vagaries of Brandon's phrasing are meant to be ironic and not specific to any authour, just having a bit o' fun. XD
  3. Guess I set two records then. Quickest time to discover storms are not given, but rather made awesome, And quickest time to set a record presumably, on the 17th Shard? Brandon storming Sanderson! He's the best.
  4. That's the storming truth if ever I storming heard it! storm yeah! And storming thank you!
  5. But I like cookies! Thanks.
  6. Thanks for the offer! As for my favourite Cosmere character, I'd have to say that there are some top contenders, but I've yet to finalize my choice. Contender #1 is Wit, not Hoid mind you, but specifically his turn as the King's Wit because that remains the single best character introduction I have ever experienced. Contender #2 is ShaiLu, because everything about The Emperor's Soul screams for a sequel of full novel-length. I need to see her other Stamps! Contender #3 is Uncle Kiin, otherwise known as Dreok Crushthroat. Yet again a character who Sanderson has yet to plumb the depths of! Honestly though, most of the characters Brandon writes are interesting in their own way, and could even have their own book, if he ever gave it time. It's what makes every character believable and fun to read!
  7. Thanks for the helpful and swift responses. I'll start checking out Brandon's interviews. I'm already deep into Shadows of Self!
  8. Quick question; Having recently finished Arcanum Unbounded, many of the references and theories being discussed on 17th Shard are easier to understand. However I've just bought Shadows of Self and have yet to acquire Bands of Mourning. I'm also waiting on Aether of Night, and don't know where to get the prose White Sand (help with that too?) but as those are ancillary, I'm not sure how much they matter with canon theories. Thus my question is how much information am I missing out on having not read the latest two Mistborn books? I've read all the other published works.
  9. storming...? I love this forum so much already.
