  1. Completely forgot to add Nynaeve opening an a'dam in The Great Hunt, her fight agains Moghedien in the Panarch's Palace and later when she captures her in T'a'r.
  2. I love Crossroads of Twilight for both Mat and Egwene. I really love what happens with the rebel Aes Sedai at this point. And I also like Elayne's part, too. Edit: Started reading Elantris today and already loving it. I think my masters dissertation will suffer now.
  3. I was also going to say that one as well. More than that whole dialogue, the realization that Delana and Halima were Darkfriends
  4. Not to worry. I've read WoT twice and New Spring 6 times. But I can't let a year go by without reading New Spring. I remember when I read the series the first time I only read New Spring before Towers of Midnight and I have to say that the timing could not have been more perfect.
  5. Thanks. It's beautiful. I have the three books in Portuguese and the covers are also by the same artist. But I managed to find an edition in English with the three books in it. I was just wondering if the cover was the same. Mine has Gandalf on it.
  6. The Tolkien book, is it the Lord of the Rings trilogy? What is the cover like? Is it in Spanish?
  7. I don't usually read non-fiction unless I have to. My favorite so far is Chrissie Hynde's Reckless: My Life as a Pretender. In one word, it's reckless and I love it. I also have a feeling Ursula Le Guin's The Language of the Night is awesome, though I haven't read it yet.
  8. These days I'm always listening to Blondie's Pollinator. It's just a touch of the 70s in these troubled times. Doom or Destiny playing at this very moment
  9. Hi, I'm new here and already loving this. I'm reading Three Moments of an Explosion by China Miéville. It's so weird that I can't even say if I'm enjoying it. A lot different from some of his other books. I was thinking of going back to Discworld next, but I'm very hungry for WoT, so I'll probably find myself reading New Spring without realizing it. I think Ruin's telling me to do it
  10. Thanks for the advice. I'll be extra careful
  11. Thanks. This is one that I can easily wait for. I'm reading about five fantasy series at the moment, so it's not that big a deal.
  12. I just have so many favorite scenes that I even have trouble saying which ones I like best. But here it goes. SPOILERS Nynaeve Heals Siuan and Leane; Egwene is raised Amyrlin; Dumai's Wells Nynaeve breaks her block Cleansing of saidin Egwene vs. Elaida in dinner with Sitters (basically all Egwene scenes in The Gathering Storm) Battle of Tel'aran'rhiod Moiraine enters the tent in the Field of Merrilor; Egwene kills M'Hael (and about time, too); Chapter 39 AMoL And the Light knows, so many more
  13. Hi, everybody. I'm Rui, 23, and I really love Brandon's books. I've only read the first Mistborn trilogy, Legion, and Emperor's Soul so far, but he's already one of my favorite authors. I've also read The Wheel of Time and his work there is amazing. I'm patiently waiting for more Stormlight books to come out so I can start reading them. Anyway, I'm sure I'll have a great time here.
