not everyone is a coinshot but i think there is ways to make weapons that are desighed for misting and ferrings. for a steel allomancer how bout a gernade with a inernal metal pin so only a steel pusher could detonate it?
sounds like gorrila warfare to me. what about covering the shard plate in oil then setting it on fire? i believe that shard plate does not directly protect against heat or cold so if you set it of fire a shard bearer would cook like a turkey.
I have been curious what kinda weapons may develope to meet the unique abillitys of mistings and ferrings.
such as bow and arrows with a greater draw strength for pewter, or silencers for tin, perhaps a type of toxic agent that would make people more infulenced by soothers ect.
if aluminum can not be effected by steel, iron, zinc, and brass. would it possible be uneffected by other forms of alomancy? such as dampaning zeekers abilitys or some how having an effect on sliders?
chemical warfare maybe a bit advance but i like that line of thought. think i saw somthing on TV about a mixture of ground pepper and glass being used as a weapon when thrown into the opponents eyes. this maybe a bit advance too but maybe a smoke/tear gas bomb?
i rember that passage the viser is definatly a weak point in the armor but i think there are more efficent ways to kill a shard bearer.
I believe the book also mentions that if the plats in the legs or chest give out that a shard bearer will collapse under the weight and also that hits to the head can be dangerous even in shard plate.
One of my favorite parts of Brandon Sanderson's writing style is that a clever person has the power to fight against even the most powerful of characters. So how would you defend against such powerful foes?
could some one create a new set of shard plate by fuseing a bunch of pieces of other shard plat and fuse them together with storm light? feel a little like Dr. Frankenstien asking it but it seems possible after dalianar used his sons gauntlets after the sige at the tower. though i guess niether were ready to try and heal their armor yet.
it is potentialy evil... but what if somone didnt know you had a dead mans switch? it also seems like a only defensive stratigie you can blow yourself up as a way to attack... but only once.
I do like explosives as a way to combat mistings and ferrings but i dont believe that using a dead mans switch is the best way... though it would be good as a last ditch effort.
the mistborn series is one of my favorites i thought it would be fun to create a chart or somthing that deals with abilitys to a greater extent. possible compiling the information may show gaps or possibiltys that have been over looked
I am not sure how effective a flamethrower by itself would be, but if you could arange away to carry all thoughs supplys you would make a force to be reckoned with.
you bring up an interesting idea. how would a electric current effect burning or storing metals? im less sure about useing metal minds but since the burning process is internal could shocking or electricuting a misting effect thier powers?
true but even if you hire a specialist wouldnt you feel safer with a anti-misting or anti-ferring weapon on hand?
how would it be best to deal with a slider?(bendalloy misting i think) oddly i think if you could some how lasso the area around the time bubble it could be effective.
law of supply and demand. as long as there is people needing bullets to kill misting and ferrings various weapons could become mass produced. who knows what kinds of weapons may become available.
would pewter arms be as effected by poison? and if the poison is too powerful for a bloodmaker to heal from would the act of taping their metal minds just speed up their death? i like the poison option doubly because there are so many non-matallic ways to infect the target. blow dart gun would be a good option with wood or bone darts. and even if a poison isnt lethal it may tip the balnce in a fight to your favor.
