  1. See above (sorry, I just figured out how to add quote boxes and quote people, but I had already posted this earlier)
  2. Ah, I just found the Warbreaker quote, from the beginning of capter 21: edit: added quote box
  3. 1. Adolin becomes one of Kaladin's squires (I would laugh if this actually happened) 2. Szeth goes back and kills Taravangian 3. Kaladin goes back and can't find his parents, goes off on his own to find them and isn't around the other characters for most of the story 4. Vivenna was on Roshar but then left, will not appear but will be mentioned in the book 5. Jasnah and Hoid won't show up until like halfway through the book and then will make a miraculous entrance during some climactic part 6. Shallan will go to the purelake for some reason 7. One of the interludes will be set in Rall Elorim and then everyone in 17S will speculate about it a lot 8. Shallan will have to solve a mystery for the Ghostbloods (maybe that's why she'll go to the purelake). At least, someone play detective somewhere, Brandon loves writing detective stories 9. PARSHENDI CIVIL WAR!!! 10. Adolin will worldhop near the end of the book and won't be part of SA storyline anymore Most of these are just me being dumb for the sake of amusement, so don't take them too seriously
  4. Umm I honestly really like some of his short stories, like I thought Firstborn was pretty neat and I really liked Sixth of the Dusk too. As far as full size books go, I enjoyed Warbreaker. I just finished reading the prose version of White Sand, which made me wish Brandon had done that one as a book intead of a graphic novel, though the graphic novel's alright, I guess. Just not my favorite storytelling medium
  5. Huh, I guess I could see that. That makes me curious, is it possible to tap (feruchemically) something that's been eaten as opposed to burning it (allomantically) like that. I guess there's no reason it wouldn't be possible. Off topic, though edit: Calderis answered that one, never mind
  6. Sooo I tried to find anything about this because it seemed like kind of a theme to me, but I didn't really see much, so if somebody already brought this up someone can just lock this thread and downvote me a bunch also, there will be some spoilerness for AoL and White Sand, just so you know. I've been noticing a pattern of people suddenly gaining lots of power right before they die. Two specific examples come to mind, Praxton from White Sand (at least it seems that way in the graphic novel, though not as much in the prose version), and Miles at the end of AoL when he's shot like a zillion times. There's also another example in the White Sand prose but I'll neglect that one because the prose version isn't canon and it isn't widely distributed. I think there might be some more examples of it, but I can't thing of them and it's been quite a while since I've read some of these books. What really caught my attention, though, was something I caught when I was rereading Warbreaker. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do one of those fancy quote boxes, so I'll just summarize it (I can't remember where it is anyway)- it says something along the lines of "there are some people that when they are about to die their Breath gets really strong". That was when I realized that there was something going on, since before then I had just assumed it was just dramatic flair or something. So that's kind of it, just that there's this pattern of random people getting a special burst of strength before they die. I don't really have any theories about why it happens, but if you do or if there are other examples of it that I missed post 'em here!
  7. 'Sup everyone, I guess I should introduce myself here on account of it being proper protocol and all. I've been reading Brandon's books for a while now (except I haven't read AU), and I've made it through most of the cosmere ones. Then I discovered 17S and was like "oh so that's why that Hoid guy keeps showing up everywhere." Anyway, there's lots of interesting stuff floating around here so I thought I should join on the off chance that I had something interesting to add. Anywho, that's about all I have to say. Oh, except that I don't accept cookies from strangers. Nothing personal, you know, just the principle of the thing
