Hello fellow sharders,
I was just wondering if any members of the forum living in France planned on going to Lyon's Geek Touch. If so, why not meet up somewhere?

I'm from Lyon, France

I won't spoil anything for you but... suffice to say his arc is far from over. I think Book 3 might just surprise you.
Agree ; from Elend's pov, HoA could very well make up for how you felt about him in WoA.

When you haven't prepared in time for a test and are left with only the night before it to study and desperately try to draw aon ene to memorize arguments more quickly and the mix of stress and fatigue makes you think you actually draw the aon and you can study better. In fact, you have fallen asleep and were dreaming for the entire time. True story.

Gavilar mentions vibrant listeners in the same breath as radiant humans. Maybe Vibrant is part of the title of the KR equivalent of parshendi. The voidbinding chart implies there are orders, there probably is another name for that group other than voidbringers.
Just like the Parshendi(in alethi tongue) are actually called Listeners.

Welcome to the 17th Shard, @ahill3780. May the survivor guide you in this maze of captivating theories, games etc. Looking forward to read your theories.

Welcome @Marelle. As those above me have already said, don't worry about grammar mistakes. I'm French too, so english isn't my mother language either. As for the books not yet available in France, have you tried bookdepository? they have the whole Sanderson collection and offer free shipping throughout the world.

They used it in Dalinar's flashback in the chapter Starfall in WoK.
Ok, it's been a while since my last read I forgot that. I should probably get back at it before Oathbringer comes out...

When you are seriously considering naming your animals like some of the characters from Sanderson's books(Protection Dog: Kaladin, Cat: Jasnah etc etc)

I can actually relate to that; my friends have actually banned cosmere-themed discussions(I still haven't given up on them reading the books someday)

I think that I was partially getting mixed up with Lopen regrowing his arm. I understand that healing oneself is an ability that the Radiants share.
I think that they have some healing power, but they won't be able to bring back to life someone
Spoilerlike an Edgedancer could.

I'd love to see what Adolin thought when he discovered Shallan is a radiant (maybe in a more in-depth POV during the battle at the end of WoR)

I could see something like this working in the General Brandon Discussion or Creator's Corner threads. That is if it isn't against any forum rules.
Oh, ok. I posted this here because I was writing about this article. Really hope this request isn't against any rules, but I don't think so.

Hello,
I am trying to build an Italian community for Sanderson's books and universe; I have since created a site called mattandthebooks.com where I write articles about books (mostly sanderson's), do rereads etc. I wanted to know if I could translate and post this post in order to explain to the reades of said site wht the cosmere is, as I think that this article is very well-written and can be understandable by any who haven't started "studying" the cosmere. I would of course link to the original article here on 17th Shard.

So, if we suppose that Spren can be stabbed in the cognitive real because they have a more "physical form", then if nightblood hit a spren in shadesmar said spren would die, but if nightblood fought against a shardbearer with a living spren(kaladin, for example) in the physical real, said spren would "only" be hurt, or maybe broken(kind of like when the KR oaths are broken). Don't know if I'm getting that correctly, but I suppose that nightblood could act as a hemallurgic spike(because he feeds on Investiture), and so he probably needs a "true" physical contact to "spike" the opponent.
