I super appreciate all y’all! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve made it and since it was made before I read Oathbringer there’s some inaccuracies. After Rhythm of War I might make a 2.0
-
Those two, as well as Stoneward/Bondsmith require some tweaking. Secretly you're all the beta testers. (Playbuzz uses a different format for matching results :P) but I wanted to make sure that I was putting the quiz on a more permanant platform
-
Yes we are missing information for about a third of the orders so I've tried to extrapolate what little information we have. It's not incredibly accurate and I'm actually going to be going through and changing the quiz if there are some major inaccuracies (I might have to go make truthwatcher and elsecaller a little more distinct)

Hey guys just letting you know that I'm working on a new quiz! I haven't been able to do much in the way of research lately but finally I'm on break and can think about stuff! This quiz is shaping up to be even better and in depth than the first one. Let me know if you have suggestions since I think I'll actually be able to edit it this time.

HEY GUYS SO WHO WANTS TO CRY ABOUT THE FACT THAT ESHONAI IS DEAD
-
Whoa hey it's been forever since I was on here. TBH Overwatch kind of destroyed my life yeahhh I'm trying to access my account to put this quiz up again. Perhaps I'll remake it on a different site to make it more accurate and what not.

Uh well considering that's Amaram's first name I'm pretty sure that's not it. Unless Hoid is Amaram. In which case, Hoid is Odium confirmed.
-
Here let me attempt to make my inside thoughts clear (didn't want to go into to much detail since this is a Stormligh oriented thread, but hey, it's tangentially related) The thing that threw me off for a while was the fact that Wit denies his name is Hoid...which is bizarre because he IS Hoid...at least, the character we've come to know as Hoid. However, he speaks of the name as something he's (I don't have WoK on me at the moment but I'll check as soon as I can) stolen?? I believe. Or gotten from some old acquaintance, perhaps even someone dead. Someone... I almost wonder if Hoid is the name of an organization of sorts? That's the wrong word for it, but I can't really describe what I mean. An initiative, perhaps, of Worldhopping, though to what end I have no idea. It definitely revolves around storytelling, as that's Hoid's primary occupation through everywhere we see him. He tells stories, and he deals in information. BUT he also trained Sigzil as a worldsinger...taking him on as an apprentice, so that makes me think that there is perhaps something more behind his storytelling. Also the fact that Sigzil has a bizarre knowledge of Stormlight and things related. Like he knew about it. So it makes me wonder how much Hoid taught him... Anyways, there's my ramble.

No wait, I forgot what my brain had done. For a while I thought that they might have been different people but quite recently I've taken a different turn. But the fact that he distinctly says that Hoid is not his name is something a little...off to me. In no other place does Hoid describe himself as anyone except Hoid, which makes me wonder if this is not actually who Hoid is? Idk, I'll probably go lurk on the Cosmere theory threads to see what I can glean. I also wish to see this mysterious Hood character you speak of.

Yes, I'm aware of this. In fact, he says that Hoid is not his real name However, due to some discrepencies in things like physical appearance (which may be explained by the fact that Hoid may or may not be a lightweaver/have similar abilities) and other things that Wit has said, I've always been under the impression that they are in fact, two different people. If you have some evidence to my contrary, please bring it forth as I'd like this to be reconciled, thanks.
-
And I'd like a word with him. Unfortunately, he and Wit are not the same person to the best of my belief
-
Wit is actually Odium
-
Or maybe they're just a holes lol (because apparently even censorship isn't enough for this Mormon dominated fandom)

Jasnah is totally lesbian. I ship her with Eshonai (as has been previously stated) but yeah. I'm excited to see more of her in OB

@maxal yesss thank you. You just put into words everything I feel about Adolin. (Also OH GOD THAT OATHBINGER SPOILER MY HEART IS DYING FOREVER) In speaking about relationships for characters, I was more approaching it as like a "Who has chemistry" thing regardless of their individual brokenness (a spherical chicken in a vacuum if you're familiar with that joke.) If I might contribute my psychoanalytical thoughts on Shallan then, since I feel like she doesn't get enough credit. The thing about Shallan is that she is the opposite of Adolin. Where his trauma has driven him to be unable to form lasting relationships, from my perspective, Shallan spills her bonding all over the place. I guess it would have to do with the way she was raised--in an abusive household where every relationship she ever had was threatened by something. For some people that might mean shutting down. For her it meant covering up her pain by trying her best to ignore her feelings by replacing them with more positive feelings (which doesn't work, obviously, but she's trying). Her relationship with Jasnah is a good example of this: even after multiple times that Jasnah did or said horrible things, Shallan still felt guilty about things that she might have done to damage that relationship. She clings to that connection, and frequently blames problems on herself, which is a normal psychological reaction to abuse. I have a lot more thoughts but I'm on my phone since I don't have my laptop and I just wanted to get this out, so in it's brief form this must remain. One of the things that fascinates me so much about a relationship (whether platonic or otherwise) between Shallan and Adolin is that exact dichotomy. Where she met a nice young man and immediately started to form a relationship with him, Adolin probably feels like he's fooling her and giving her the wrong impression. He doesn't see a way that this relationship can last and (it's been a while since I've read WoR, my dad stole it from me, so forgive my errors) tries to subtly show her that this isn't going to work...while at the same time desperately wanting this to work. Im definitely interested in discussing the psychology of the characters as it's related to relationships. As someone with Aspergers I have to do a lot of psychoanalysis so it's nice to talk casually about my perceptions and findings.

I AM CRYING. THERE ARE TEARS RUNNING DOWN MY FACE. i personally want to see Syl vs Pattern. (Especially considering how much hinorspren and cryptically hate each other) FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

@maxal @Deldraedair (Not quoting because that is SO many posts) I also would not mind if another character were introduced as a love interest for Kaladin (I know for a while I shipped Rysn and Kaladin, but now I'm just content to see where the story goes). I think what people kind of forget with storm light is that there's going to be 10 enormous books, any of which could give us sufficient character development to be satisfied with a relationship for Kaladin. As for someone random being thrown in at Adolin, while I would be a bit disappointed since I'm a hardcore Shadolin shipper, that's also consistent with Adolins character so I would be fine with that as well. *turns off microphone and awkwardly slinks away*

I don't know, in my personal experience, killing those who have committed any crime at all is always the way to go lol
-
Oh thank you! That's something that I'll add when I'm going through an fixing things.

Willshaper, judging from your profile picture?

The only explanation I can think of is that the Skybreakers have a distinct rigidity to them. Perhaps some natural tendency for fluidity and flexibility made the Lightweavers a slightly more accurate choice *shrug*
-
As a fellow Lightweaver I can confirm that just because you're presenting a different version of yourself doesn't necessarily mean that you're lying, per se. Only that you're giving people the truth you want to see.

After spending WAY too much time researching the various orders and being consistently dissatisfied with other quizzes online, I created a Knights Radiant Order sorter (I hate that that rhymes) based upon personality, psychology, and ideology. I'd love to know what orders you all fall into with this quiz, whether or not you think it's accurate, or if you think I should change something. For my sake and the sake of others, I need to have a good personality identification not based upon stupid questions like "Which character is your favorite". Knights Radiant Order Quiz ^Links updated, now works I took the test the day after I created it (so I couldn't remember much of the specific tagging I did), answering as honestly as possible, and got the order I identify with, so I'm really hoping it's accurate.

I think my main problem with Mistborn was how rambly it was. Especially getting into the hero of ages, I didn't really understand what was going on, I didn't really feel like any of the characters had any real stake in the plot, the fact that they couldn't talk to each other was obnoxious (because f* you Ati!). I enjoyed Secret History but even then found myself a little frustrated with its pacing. IDK man, maybe it's the investiture on Scadrial. I've read the books, I just don't really know how to feel about them.
