  1. Hmmm I'll have to go check after work about the number of shardbearers. I was unsure about the number. He just made them look so unskilled and like children when fighting them. Such a intense scene
  2. Good question! Honestly I would like to have the surge of regrowth. To be able to heal people would be very fulfilling. But if I'm talking money in this day and age it would have to be light weaver or elsecaller because they can soulcast. Talk about a useful power!
  3. I think everyone has said my favorite scenes (which tells me I'm in the right place) but I'll say mine anyway. Favorite character has to be a tie between Dalinar and Syl. Dalinar because he is unwavering in his resolve and never compromises his honor. I admire that A LOT. Syl because she's always trying to get Kaladin to pull his head out of his arse. She saves him from himself in a lot of ways. Like a guardian angel almost. Favorite scene has to be when Szeth is going to kill the king of Jah Kaved and gets ambushed by 4 more shard bearers. My heart was racing reading that scene. All I could think of was "what a complete badass."
  4. I saw her being like Galadrial from LOTR but with flowing black and silver hair that moves like a river. Also she never really speaks. Haunting eyes. She is part God after all, so I imagine her being a little scary.
  5. Very insightful. Gave me a lot to mull over. I don't think he will be evil persay, I should have changed my wording there. I do think he will play an antagonistic role at some point tho. We saw it with Kaladin already when he nearly kills Syl to satisfy his own version of what is right. But he doesn't kill the king! He comes to his senses even tho the kingdom will be better with Dalinar at the throne. Adolin however goes through with murdering Sadeas. Am I the only one who threw up a red flag at that scene?
  6. Elhokar isnt Dalinars son but I see reason for both. Another reason that I lean towards adolin is that Kaladin and Shallon might have something going on there. So add jealousy to the mix. Also he is alone in the main characters as not being a surgebinder. So fear of unworthyness as well. Adolin does some of the most admirable things in WoK and WoR which makes me like him a lot. It will be all the more heart breaking if he turns "dark side" for lack of a better term
  7. Even tho I really like Adolin and I love when he killed Sadeas but his way of murdering him was a 180 degree turn of what Dalinar would of done. The action was justified but it was a really dark moment in my mind. So I'm leaning toward him
  8. I see your point. I know that cryptics and honor Spren apparently don't like each other but I was just surprised by her wording and even more so when I found out it was renarin doing the count down. Either way I'm pretty confident in saying that one of Dalinars sons will end up a villain.
  9. Hey there! I thought this was very interesting and I don't know if I missed it in the post but didn't Syl (a honor Spren) say that seeing the future wasn't of honor but of something else...something evil. It's not a direct quote but if Glys is his Spren then it must be of something other than honor or cultivation. I think that he is being used by either void Spren or something we haven't heard of yet
  10. I know from reading forums that Odium fears Harmony. Just wondering if we could expect to see him use some influence to help the Knights Radient. Thoughts?
  11. Wow I prob should re read the whole series I forgot so much. I also got into Sanderson from this series. But honestly I thought he cut out everything that annoyed me about Jordans writing (excessive dialogue about low cut dresses, the avalanche of new characters especially Aei sedai). Plus Brandon really knows how to write a great action sequence without it getting confusing. Like when Perrin is fighting Slayer at the end. I was literally on the edge of my seat.
  12. Huge fan of Brandon's work. TWOT got me into his original work and I glad it did. Just receive Arcanum Unbounded in the mail along with Elantris. I've read the Mistborn series but none of the after novels. Read The Way of Kings and Words of Radience twice so I'm happy to be a part of this.
  13. I've been re reading "A Memory of Light" cause I'm bored and waiting for Oathbringer and I've been noticing that quite a few people were disappointed with some parts or exclusion of certain plot lines and just wanted to get some real fans point of views on what they mean because I loved this book to its core and all of TWOT. What was this book missing?
