I think that the Dawnshards were more weapon-like than spren-like because the there is a type "benevolent spren" called the Dawnsingers were "benevolent spren." I do not think that Brandon would name 2 types of archaic spren so similarly. Additionally, I think that the quote from Isa's poem ("Taking the Dawnshard") implies the Dawnshards as being a ritual or weapon.

I believe that allomancy is granted thru the spiritweb, not the physical DNA, so it wouldn't mater if it was a Mistborn's body or not.

I need to give a informative speech on Brandon Sanderson for school and thought to myself who better to ask than those of the 17 Shard. Any information you have is welcome, however in my speech I'm trying to put emphasis on Mr. Sanderson's style of writing and life rather than the specifics of his books.
