  1. Day 36: This came much later, sorry. "Run, Bela," Faile said. "If you've kept any strength back, now is the time to use it. Please. Run, girl. Run." Looks like Perrin must be in trouble. But what on earth is Faile doing on Bela?
  2. Day 35: The Blight had consumed the Two Rivers. That is probably coming from one of Egwenes dreams.
  3. I thought Rand for a few moments, but the innkeeper would probably fit better. Mat will probably meet up with her again fairly quickly.
  4. Day 32: If the end of the Aiel was the sacrifice required for Rand to win, she would make it. That sounds like Amys or Avi. I am leaning more toward Avi.
  5. Countdown for the Memory

  6. Day 32: Rand stiffened. He'd known what he was doing, on some level, but to hear it explained was disconcerting. That one sounds very familiar. It might come from one of the earlier books.
  7. Day 31: He doesn't want to fight in Andor, Elayne thought. He doesn't want to fight alongside me. He wishes the break to be clean. Sounds like Elayne thinks Rand does not love her. Could Gawyn be avoiding her due to his love for Egwene?
  8. Day 30: Two separate quotes today for Christmas Rand strode forward, lifting his arms out to the sides. Grass sprouted in waves, red blossoms burst from the ground like a blush upon the land. The storm stilled, the dark clouds burned away by light. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A joyful song, a song of awe and wonder, though she could not understand the words. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hmm. is the first one before or after the battle? It could fit in either way, though the storm would probably have broken after he defeated the Shadow. It looks like the tinkers find their song. It has been a while since they played a major role, so I wonder what they do in this one except sit outside the city.
  9. Day 29: “Didn’t you once lead a band of thieves out of this forest?” Birgitte grimaced. “I was hoping you hadn’t heard that one.” Could be Elayne or Mat talking to her, but it sounds like Mat to me.
  10. Ack, must be nice. Still, if anywhere gets it early, it would have to be the Holy Land over Christmas weekend.
  11. You talking about Kate Elliot's Cold Magic? The first one is good, but she picks up her typical sex stuff in the second volume. You tried Britain's Green Rider stuff? That is very good. Looks like goodreads is telling me Sullivan's Theft of Swords is discounted at Amazon today as an ebook.
  12. Day 28: "But this . . . this isn't about blacksmithing, Perrin . . ." "Of course it is," Perrin said. How could Rand not see that?
  13. The first two Iron Druid books are fairly good. The language is a bit coarse, but not overly so.
  14. day 27: "Peaches!" Rand said, aghast. Everyone knew those were poisonous. Honestly, I have been expecting something to cleanse the peaches since they first mentioned they were poisonous in this age but not before the breaking.
  15. Day 26: Uno's topknot danced as he continued to blaspheme.
  16. Leading theory on Setalle is that she is the AS that got burned out testing angreal and terangreal. I can't remember her ever actually admitting who she was, but Mat is pretty confident that she used to be an AS. Masema could have been manipulated, but then crazy people do have halucinations.
  17. Day 25: "Oh, blood and ashes, no!" Cadsuane said, spinning on them. "No, no, no." Could be her finding out what Egwene plans to do to stop Rand. Could be she runs into one of the Kin that recognizes her for someone else.
  18. It could be Ishi, but it just sounds like someone that switched sides. Lanfear seems to fit that possibility more than Ishi
  19. Doesn't seem to be a tone for Ishi. It could be Rand talking, he has been doing that stuff in ToM. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Lanfear seeking salvation. I have the feeling that has been being set up in the two AMOL books so far.
  20. Day 24: "There were many good years. Good decades, good centuries. We believed we were living in paradise. Perhaps that was our downfall. We wanted our lives to be perfect, so we ignored imperfections. Problems were magnified through inattention, and war might have become inevitable if the Bore hadn't ever been made." Rand or Mierin remembering?
  21. Didn't the wiseones say that his father went into the blight after his mother died? He is probably one of the red vieled aiel. A face to face with ones lost father would generate a conversation like that. Could also be Rand confronting the superfade.
  22. Day 23: "Light burn me," Rand said. "You're not him, are you?"
  23. Didn't bother with anything, actually.
  24. Finished. The Sanderson books do read much, much more quickly than the others.
