  1. But if oathstones are a normal part of shin society, wouldn't they be enslaved? Because an oathbound shin is better than a parshman by far. I don't know where, but I'm pretty sure szeth is a unique case
  2. okay. other things. How exactly does the oathstone work, and is it bonded to szeth in a "magical" Way, or does he just follow it as a code of honor? Also, does Darkness (forgot which herald... maybe nale?) have szeth's oathstone, or is szeth following him for some other purpose? I think that Edgedancer and WoR kinda implied that his oathstone was no longer "valid"
  3. Szeth has quite a lot of names. (Truthless, Son-son-Vallano..) I know i missed at least three, but i was wondering if we could explain these things in the best way possible. What exactly do we know about the title of truthless? Who is Vallano? who is his father (i forgot his name) The only real obvious one is assassin in white. I just want a list of what exactly all these things mean.
  4. I honestly havent thought about this. I havent found one, but someone else might be able to. your theory is sound as far as i can see however.
  5. lol in soviet roshar stormlight lashes you

  6. this is a cool idea. i want to also ask a similarly related question. Why wont kaladin's slave brands heal? Anyway. i thought this had something to do with it. epecially the cognitive aspects of how the spiritweb affects the physical
  7. *quietly and respectfully tries to spectacularly kill Nashan with simple glass knives*
  8. So. I have a theory. I dont know what the actual distances or times are, but i believe that a chasmfiend, after pupation, and after becoming bigger, moves to the reshian sea we read about in words of radiance ( With rysn). The similarities, along with the mention of the soul of the Reshi Greatshell Relu-na and the spren that saved her, are leading me to conclude that the chasmfeinds we hear and see in the books become huge, and move into the ocean. unfortunately, we have no knowledge of the early life and birth of the Chasmfiends, or the Greatshells we see in the Reshi trading scene. I would like to hear your alternate theories, and what proves / disproves mine. I feel like the greatshells and chasmfiends will become more prevalent in later books and i would like to know more about them. (besides, the ecology of roshar is amazing and why wouldnt you want to know more) Also, is the Greatshell closer to a chull? or is a Greatshell closer to a chasmfiend (behavior and anatomy wise)
  9. no. I hadnt read either of the way of of kings books in a while and i couldnt remember what oathbringer was.
  10. *quietly prepares for a spectacular murder* You're all invited to my... party. It will be fun.
  11. Oh dear. Um. No. The name oathbringer refers to an in book power that I assume is new. It's not random. Most of us assume it refers to dalinar in some way
  12. I think that this is more a matter of perception. Once you drain something of color to awaken another thing, you perceive it as being dead, ( because you used it as an end negative fuel ) and the investiture takes the perception of color and drains it. This makes more sense then draining somethings (chemical structure) which would cause it to turn into something else entirely. The color drained is the color perceived, not the actual structural wavelength or shape that it is. most of the awakening system which is similar to that on sel (especially after reading the emperors soul) focuses and uses perception and distortion more than actual structure, or science as we understand it.
  13. This is an interesting question, especially after seeing how things behave in the cognitive realm. I understand what you're saying, but I don't understand how to answer this question, or what I would say. Sorry. It's a cool idea tho
  14. So. In the 2nd mistborn age, we see wax speaking to harmony. I was wondering if there was a way to communicate through hemalurgic spikes. This could be a way that southern scadrialans communicate, whether they're actually spiked or do it though their tech. I think this is a viable thing and I'm pretty sure that Brandon said something about vin and tensoon being able to communicate. Idk tho. Just wondering
  15. Oh. That's wonderful. You may get me to murder someone yet. Your short non informative sentences and quotes are so helpful and constructive. Yeh flaming drongo
  16. Anyway. What was the point of this originally
  17. what even. *points at kenod* you can add some honey. its in the last undestroyed cabinet in the whole flipping chat.
  18. this is... desturbing. you are bored. so you throw around supernovas. a bit of powerful fun. why cant we have some normal conversations. i mean. an all powerful beings and there's no good conversation. * pours three mugs of tea *
  19. So. Right now in the cosmere we have a problem. Szeth has no actual powers. it was all granted to him by the honorblade. Can nale create squires? if this is true, then szeth could potentially use nightblood similarly to the way he used the honorblade. and he could use the skybreaker surges, which are similar to the windrunner ones he was used to. just an idea.
  20. why the axe.all of this wannabe murder is very exausting. nobody is even dead.
  21. thank you. *sits down and begins to heat the kettle* so. why is everybody tryna murder everybody else? Is there a reason?
  22. but do the blessings affect their soul? do they have souls as mistwraiths, or is it a product of the blessings?
