  1. There's been hints regarding relativistic affects and physically traveling between world's. And Nightbloods interpretation of time makes me think that Nightblood has been on Roshar for awhile. Though I really need to brush up on cosmere timelines....we have a little bit of everything on Roshar and I honestly can't place that happened when.
  2. I think it has something to do with the decisions made on Roshar. Vasher mentioned that there were decisions he regrets to Kaladin.....I think the main one that pushed him into staying on Roshar and trying to do some good, to redeem himself, was that he was involved in the process of removing the Identity and Connection from the Parsh. He's probably one of the foremost scholars on Investure in the cosmere, so I'm sure he's the mind of person who could have figured it out. And thought he was doing something good....until he realized he helped with enslaving the native species of a planet.
  3. The adhesion that was happening was coming from Dalinar I believe, not inherently the plate. I think what we'll see is that plate allows a surge binder to "extend" their surges without clothing or armor in the way. When Kalidin was training, he had to take off his shoes to apply stormlight to the ground. If he had plate on, he'd be able to apply it through the plate.
  4. Kelsier as a lightweaver would be interesting. Lots of strong truths/lies under all that insanity.
  5. I think the next ideal will be on the other side of the spectrum from protecting even those you hate. It'll be protecting people from your friends. He'll become closer to Adolin and then later have to fight him to protect.
  6. Like others had said, maybe he sought the Skybreakers to infiltrate them. When his spren found out that he betrayed his oaths to the Skybreakers, it broke the spren resulting in the dead shardblade
  7. Couple of thoughts.... Champions for Honor/Odium could be Humans/Listeners respectively. Either as a whole or individually. But that seems too simple/obvious. Parallels between the Heralds "Right of Challenge" and the contract that Odium is bound to. Characters will quarrel over it because it's not actually taking away his power(a la Sadaes), but it's a rule that he's bound to and must accept the precepts. This is probably what broke the Heralds in the first place...this never ending fight that doesn't actually mean anything because it's a game. I imagine at the end of the fight a boon will be granted. It could be that the original boon was to seal away Odium. And then trying to break the rules, a la Kaladin and the final boon at the end. Not knowing the rules and the precepts of the challenge is going to get some people burned. Probably Hoid. He's always a rule breaker, he'll try to find some loophole in the agreement between Honor and Odium and exploit it for his own ends. Final outcome - I think whoever is Honor's champion is(Probably Dalinar) will realize that you can't actually kill Odium, he's too invested. Or that splintering him will cause more problems than not. Instead, they will use Honors boon to become the vessel for Odium, basically killing Rayse in order to contain Odium.
  8. I always thought Khriss's mention of a higher-than-normal infant mortality rate to be related to the new way Sazed snaps people Though that seems a bit too morbid for Sazed
  9. There were a few scenes that were obviously supposed to be thematically pleasing and a kind of "look how cool this is" hand-off to the reader. Took me out of the story a few times because of how out of place they were Example, when Androl is breaking Logain out of the dungeon and is able to break through the dreamspike. Why is he walking out to the middle of the room before deus ex machina'ing the fight? It wasn't believable and it was slightly cringy. There were a few of those. But that's just more Sandersons style than Jordans. I still really enjoyed the last 3 books.
