  1. Pretty much.
  2. Ferring. I wonder what type...although most of them would be kinda useful, honestly.
  3. Happy birthday!
  4. ...it is a real recipe. It makes figgins.
  5. 6/10 humurous, but mostly because of the context. Out of context, not quite as amusing, but still pretty good.
  6. I loved the third one. My friends seem to think WoR is a really silly book since all they know about it is 'I am a stick' and the boots scene.

    Blue?

    Huh. Thanks guys.
  8. Ha. I can imagine when people travel from one planet to another in the cosmere, the Scadrians get people going 'do people really eat metal to use investiture?' and them finding it not weird at all. Although, it's quite possible there are weirder systems out there. I mean, I seem to remember Brandon talking about a story he had an idea for where people got powers from diseases...it's probably very hard to make jokes like that one in the cosmere without actually mentioning a real magic system. 'Eating metal? That's ridiculous! That's like...getting powers from doing maths!' 'I've seen that one, too. Very dangerous.'

    Blue?

So, the other day, one of my friends reading Mistborn asked me why the lines that appear when you burn steel or iron are blue, and I realised I didn't have an answer. Then, I remembered that not only are these metal lines blue, but I'm pretty sure so is all metal and souls in the cognitive realm. To add to that, Stormlight is blue. So is there a connection? Is it possible that investiture will often appear as blue? Or is this just a coincidence?
  10. @Darkness Ascendant that's a cool little thing. The colour representation was interesting as well, because it didn't really tell you much- it's ambigious and not clearly defined, just like the subject it's talking about.
  11. Great job! For the contest, that is. Although reading WoR is an achievement too.
  12. Okay. Thanks.
  13. So, I'm sure at least some of you will remember the painting that Lightsong was given in Warbreaker, fairly early on in the book. It showed Nightblood and his creator (can't remember her name) fighting an army, but was done by someone with enough Breath that when Llarima (sorry if I spelt it wrong, I read the book on audio) saw it, he just saw a mess of colours. I seem to remember seeing a WOB saying that it wasn't done by Hoid, but do we know or think we know who it was actually made by, and what its purpose was? Thanks.
  14. Sorry. I couldn't be bothered searching it up to see how to spell it.
  15. Double posting because I just saw this: https://twitter.com/SupanovaExpo/status/863253190891847680/photo/1 Brandon Sanderson is coming to Perth. Perth. And in case you didn't realise, that's where I live. I could go meet Sanderson...
  16. Thank you. It's a good thing there's no grammer componant to my english exam.
  17. Well, one of my friends called him Brand Sand and Brando Sando once so it could be worse. @Sunbirb those are great. My school's music office has the three headed giraffe one on their noticeboard, with the caption 'alien giraffe.'
  18. It annoys me too. Oh, and when there's no corresponding " as well (mental blank, can't remember what they're called).
  19. Sounds fun. Smores are amazing, and birbs going to nesting boxes sound cool.
  20. Unless, of course, your methold was 'scribble scribble *looks over some other guy's shoulder* THIRTY SIX POINT FIVE'
  21. 7/10 sig. Has some nice puns, plus has more formatting than the usual black text on white background signature.
  22. @Sunbird biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbs!
  23. No, she knew about the rest in peace thing, but didn't connect it as something we'd say...it was used something like this: Teacher: you did that one wrong. Student: oh, rip.
