  1. Quickly, before I have to go, I think Straw is being somewhat suspicious. He kept unnecessarily repeating the fact that his scanning was unsuccessful, and repeatedly asked for protection.
  2. Now that I'm able to be back online, it's probably a good idea to defend myself against Wilson's post. I don't have long so I'll just do aquick summary of my counterpoints. - Calling the beginning a "huge mess": Elbereth hit the nail on the head with this one. Being new to this, a "huge mess" is exactly what it seemed like - Saying that I'm not going to vote until Cycle 2: Wlison's twisting my words a bit here, I never said I wasn't willing to trade information for information, I just hinting that I was going to sit back and wait for things to unfold. I most likely would have voted if my computer hadn't broke. - I shouldn't know the reps of other players like Wilson: Their reps are inherently obvious based on the way they’re talked about in the forums. - Supporting Nyali’s obvious point: So I supported an obvious point that I agreed with, how’s that pointing towards being evil? I was just trying to be active on the forums. - One short post against Sart: Slight twist to my words here, I never said that there was solid evidence against Sart, and for the most part, I just jumped on the bandwagon against Sart along with everyone else. - Claiming Wilson and Meta "set people on edge”: A unfortunately damning mis-wording. When I said that they "set people on edge,” I really meant something more like “Make others wary of them” EDIT: While it may seem contradictory, my second point is true, because I was trying to be unpredictible. Long story short: expect the unexpected
  3. Wouldn't that be completely useless since you just told us your whole plan? But what if that wasn't the whole plan... What if having us think we knew your plan even though we didn't was some kind of insane reverse-psychology trick? What if this whole thread is just a mind game orchestrated by Stink? The world may never know...
  4. Gunshy waved his customer off as he left the store. He was glad the man was gone, it had seemed like he would never leave. Right as Gunshy turned around to re-enter his shop, a sudden commotion at the tavern down the street caught his attention. Deciding to investigate, Gunshy approached the tavern cautiously. A chair crashed through the window next to him, mere inches from colliding with him. Cursing himself for almost getting hit, he thought "This isn't your average bar fight." He slowly approached the door to the tavern. Just as he was about to open the door, someone on the other side came barreling through, knocking Gunshy down in the process of his hasty escape. Laying on the ground, Gunshy rubbed his head. His vision was swimming as he watched the figure run off. He couldn't tell exactly who it was through his blurry vision, but he thought that he had a pretty good idea of who or what it was. Gunshy, still rubbing his head, collected himself up off the ground and entered the tavern. He was greeted with a sight that made him sick to his stomach. Wounded villagers were strewn across the whole tavern. He couldn't tell how many were dead versus injured. Struggling to keep his lunch down, Gunshy started to look for survivors who could tell him what had happened here. He wasn't a doctor, so he decided to start with those who were conscious. After piecing together bit of information from the various wounded, he came to the conclusion that the stranger who had run him over at the door to the tavern had accused a patron at the bar of something, and that had turned everyone's pent-up suspicion into an inferno of anger against whomever they were suspicious of. Satisfied, Gunshy made to leave the tavern, but then something caught his eye. It was they Mayor, lying dead on the ground. "What a shame" Gunshy thought un-sarcastically as he left the tavern. He was greeted out on the street by a crowd of villagers armed with torches and various farming implements. "Now what?" he thought. He tried to ask a few of the villagers, but his words were completely overran by random shouting. Then, Mezal came out and struck a large gong. With a reverberating crash, the mass of villagers fell silent. He quickly organized the villagers and gave them an objective to follow: look for clues. "Now this is a man I can get behind," he thought. He was about to ask Mezal about the figure he had seen run from the tavern, but the blacksmith was already gone. Gunshy decide to follow the blacksmith's advice and look for clues. He returned to the tavern to look for clues, but found nothing. He searched all over, but found no trace of whoever had started the fight at the tavern. Genuinely puzzled, Gunshy returned to his shop. He sat down behind the counter and tried to remember anything he could about the figure from the tavern. But he was too tired to think straight. The nightmares that had been plaguing him recently had left him drained. he decided to take a nap and try to get some shut-eye.
  5. All the mayor/lynch voting has been nothing but a huge mess of assumptions and allegations. For now, I'm not going to vote on anyone for anything probably until cycle 2, so that some information can get into the posts. However, this is what I am picking up from some people so far: Wilson: feels like a villager whose just kind of laid-back, waiting for things to progress Nyali: hard to tell. Maybe villager? Makes a good point about D1 lynchings. Mailliw: sets everyone else on edge. Impossible to tell true alignment. Elbereth: really seems to be playing on innocence. Not enough substantial evidence to place on either side Winter Cloud: absolutely no idea ThatTinyStrawMan: 0 evidence of anything Sart: somewhat suspicious. Some evidence pointing towards being an eliminator However, these are nothing more than gut feels and analyzed text. Everyone seems on edge, so suspicious things could be nothing but paranoia.
  6. Gunshy sat in in his shop waiting for customers that rarely came. It was a hot day, and nobody liked to be stuck outside in the sweltering heat, including himself. Occasionally someone would stop in, but nobody ever bought anything. He was a dirt salesman (the finest there was in his opinion), but business had been slow lately. He was sitting at the counter, deep in thought when he noticed someone outside on the corner shouting about something. "Eh, probably one of those 'The End Is Near' types" he thought. But wait, this man had actually drawn a crowd. He couldn't make out what the man was saying, so Gunshy decided to get a closer look. As he approached the corner, he saw that the man held aloft a dusty pouch, gesturing wildly with it as he continued to rave. As he listened, Gunshy soon realized that the man was selling dirt! His product! "No, no, NO! This cannot be happening" he thought. Furious, he stormed back to his shop. He punched the back wall of the shop in an act of pure anger... and immediately regretted it. He sat back down behind the counter, clutching his hand and still fuming. "I've got to up my game," he thought. "I know! Buy one bucket of premium dirt for the price of two, and get the second free!" He closed up shop and went into town to get the signs made, being careful to avoid the corner where he had seen his new competition. On his walk back from the sign shop, Gunshy saw something quickly dart into an alleyway. He couldn't tell what it was, but whatever it was. it was fast, almost inhumanly so. Intrigued, Gunshy decided to see if he could follow it. He followed the alleyway for a bit, until it suddenly dead-ended. Confused, he wondered what could have happened to they figure he had seen enter the alleyway. He decided that it was none of his business, and went back to his shop. However, on the way back, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was watching him. Once back at his shop, Gunshy, being the paranoid type, dead-bolted the door behind him. He knew if something was coming after him, the deadbolt wouldn't stop it, but he figured that the sound of the door being smashed to bits would let him know something was here. Then quickly realizing how foolish and paranoid he was being, Gunshy unbolted the door to allow any customers in. He had noticed that he had been a bit more jumpy and paranoid lately. Taking his usual seat behind the counter, he began to wonder why. Maybe it was because of those terrible dreams he'd been having lately. He knew they were just dreams, and that they were nothing but scenarios his hyperactive imagination had put together, but they seemed so lifelike lately. The gory scenes of battle haunted both his day-dreams and his night-dreams. Just then, a customer entered asking about the new sale, and startling Gunshy out of his daydreams. He'd have more time to think about his strange dreams later. For now, his first customer of the day had arrived, and hopefully it was not his last customer of the day. This is my first attempt at an RP,. Apologies if I was inconsistent with anything in the books, as I have yet to read them. Either way, how did I do for my first RP?
  7. Thanks guys, and also please tell me if I screw up on something, as this is my first game of Sanderson Elimination. Like Bugsy, I haven't read this series and am virtually clueless when it come to RP, but I guess I'll give it a shot anyway.
