  1. I guess. That consciousness is probably what people call the soul. I once read an paper by some Muslim guy. In it, he said that the soul only leaves your body when you sleep. He compared it to a string, in that it can roam but is still ties to your body. I now realize that that sounds very similar to something said in Secret History. Also, I well get back to the previous posts that were in reply to me. I'll do it when I'm not feeling so storming lazy.
  2. Lopen Although Jasnah is a surgebinder and has more in-depth personality, Lopen is kind and lighthearted. Jasnah would coldy try to kill him. But Lopen is (most likely) a squire, so he has some chance.
  3. Hey, now you're being pedantic. I'll admit that it was silly of me to say "grammar" rather than "spelling." I've taken the ACT 3 times and every time, I got 35/36 in English. The ACT's question style is of correcting mistakes in writing. So I could be an expert grammar Nazi if I wanted to. So, just chill. I know grammar mistakes and misspellings can be annoying. Here's a game for people who drink: Every time you catch an error in a typed message, take a sip of orange wine, the weakest. You'll be drunk in no time. Also, you are using the term "triggered" in it's colloquial connotation. And you do realize that Delightful said "NEVAR" on purpose to make it sound funnier, right? tl;dr: Just read the last line.
  4. The Envisagers had long injured and murdered themselves in hopes of prompting the return of the Radiants. But to no avail. It was only when Yata, who proved to be very wise, had a revolutionary idea. The return of Radiants needed to be brought by a terrible torture. And so I went to the bookstore to purchase an Azish novel known as Twilight. It was a best-seller, with good paper that burned long and bright. I gave it as a gift to a young and well-behaved darkeyed boy whose parents were Envisagers. I told him to read it and that i would follow up on him to make sure he read it. That night, I had a strange dream. I dreamed of great pain. I could see the boy's brown eyes, filling with tears as he tried to read the awful book. I saw into his pupils. I looked for so long that all I could see was the black that i presumed to be his pupils. In the darkness, a storm began. I saw a bright figure, the most beautiful of spren I had ever seen. In front of her was a wondrous man, upside down. And i knew this man would be our savior. I silently thanked the Almighty before the sounds of storm drowned out everything. Even so, I regret my actions. The boy, Talenar, made a sacrifice and endured torture comparable to that of his namesake, Talenelat. And for that, we are indebted to him.
  5. That seems like something Morzathoth would write.
  6. Is bad grammar another pet peeve of yours? >:D I'm doing it again.
  7. It will all be ok son. We can continue to derail. It's what makes us weird. Wait, I think I brought this back onto topic. let's stop here, then.
  8. Change this into the wrong thread. Last time, we derailed to food, and now I just did pet peeves.
  9. Kittens (My second thought was Caton of Inquisition)
  10. This must be your pet peeve. Oh no; I did it again!
  11. Your work is great. You should make a post on this forum, so more people can see it.
  12. I agree; there are fast-food chains everywhere, but I don't usually go to them. But when I do go to McDonald's, I usually only get fish fillet and fries; no sweet stuff.
  13. This status update is dedicated to bleeder.

I must thank my first follower: bleeder. Your prize is... one status update dedicated to you and 2 upvotes that  you were going to get anyways. :)

Woo! I don't know why I'm your first follower, you seem pretty chill. Oh well, the honor is mine.

  14. What are the chances that I'll have ice cream and fries at the same time? The only place I can think of is McDonald's. I rarely go there, and of the times I go there, I rarely get ice cream. Braum's for ice cream and McDonald's for fries.
  15. This sounds smart but I will probably never get a chance to try it.
  16. I'm sorry. The best reply to "It will all be ok son." is "FATHER NO!"
  17. Taravangian's character and life is very interesting. Also, he might have a scalpel in his pocket. I don't know how that can defeat a sniper, but it's in the Diagram so it must be true. Also, Cody seems lame after you meet Wayne, Lightsong, and Wit.
  18. I also don't like the idea of piercings. Also roughly 1% of piercings in the world are cookies. Too risky, eh. Strangely enough, I am considering getting a cookie for my right eye as soon as I make my long delayed Introduction post. Right eye because it is a lazy eye- and I cant tolerate laziness! jk I'm lazy all over. By getting a cookie, I can get Lurching powers and depth perception.
  19. If you spin till you're dizzy, you might become a Radiant and save yourself from falling down. I'm a Forescout, but I don't like the Forest. It's too scary.
  20. What a coincidence. You're a national merit semi finalist and I'm jealous. At least I got a full scholarship so I've got that going for me. Anyways, good luck!
  21. You might like this. Hi. I'm Stick Harrison, and this is my shore. I live here with my old man and my son, Big Twig. Everything in here has a story and a price. One thing I've learned after 21 years - You never know WHAT is gonna come through that sea. Back on track, I have some answers to those tough questions? Like, is there a spike that can turn you into a stick? (Actually, I don't know the answer to that.) So... Hell. Damnation. That is my topic for now. My brother raised the question about why people would get punished in Hell if they can't control their destiny. (Side-note: I think that destiny is the predicted outcome that takes freewill into account. And that's how free will and destiny can coexist.) So why would you punish an evil man if he was destined to be evil? I made an analogy that makes sense for me. A fly was destined to be a fly, a rat was destined to be a rat; they had no choice. Yet we still want to kill them because of what they are although they had no choice. I hope I make sense. So those are my two contributions: "How destiny coexists with free will" and "Why people are punished in the afterlife."
