I know that I am not the first one to put forth some of the following actors and actresses, I just wanted to share what I imagined. Sadly, I haven't found convincing actors for the missing roles yet, even though some suggestions in this thread do look promising.
David - Logan Lerman (somehow my default young male protagonist since percy jackson)

Prof - Gary Oldman
Tia - Jenna Dewan Tatum
Abraham - Henry Simmons (Well ... Agents of Shield)
Cody - Nick Blood (same reason. He should smile more though)
Val - Jennifer Connelly
Exel - Ben Affleck
Mizzy - Nathalie Emmanuel
Steelheart - Henry Cavill (After all, Steelheart is some sort of evil superman)
Conflux - Ben Kingsley
Obliteration - Hugh Jackman (I know that would bei weird)
Calamity - Robbie Kay
Newton - Brianna Hildebrand (because Deadpool)
