  1. I dont think so steamrollah, its quite clear that he had the atium to control the nobles and he didnt even keep it, he gave it to the kandra.
  2. I am a little confused, are you saying you like swearing in books or fake swearing? Because it doesnt sound like you are arguing. You prefer fake swearing, so do i.
  3. Not to get off subject but 1) i wasnt home schooled and yes i know you werent accusing me. Just wanted to clarify. 2) i know that school and real life is worse than wayne, but thats the reason i have more fingers than i have real friends. I cant handle being in a room where over 50% of dialogue is either a curse or a slang term and disgusting joke. 3) elantris example is not specific. It says general events without explaining the specific look on the person. But yes it is low on the scale but elantris example isnt even on it.
  4. Brandon doesnt ignore world occurrences but he doesnt just flat out express them either. I just dont want this to become a bigger issue.
  5. So no one is arguing that his power is in fact never running out of bullets and not that its the effects of the power?
  6. Haha hilarious. When david said that curveballs one and only super power was never running out of bullets from any gun, i thought that no, there must be more, maybe later it will explain. Although your explanation would make the power distribution a lot more amusing. But on a more serious note, i asked brandon and never got an answer, so i am very very curious.
  7. What the flip is curveballs power. Never running out of bullets doesn't make sense! Does he clone the bullets, teleport them, what? Never running out of bullets is not a power?! So what was his power?
  8. Its words of radiance to tyn. Crapper instead of sh###er.
  9. 1) drynets isnt a word. Its like saying storms. I think. 2) while i do agree that warbreaker is his most inappropriate book, at least it was consistent. And even warbreaker didnt really have anything other than innuendo. i can wait.
  10. Quote your sources. Give me an example before this book.
  11. Like i said, its not the content that bothers me, although i am sure that there are concepts no matter how well told will still bother me. Follow the whole discussion. He has never used that word or type of word before. Also i already took back that specific anatomical comment saying it wasnt a great example.
  12. Yes thats what i am asking. And i am pretty sure that was my answer also but in less detail.
  13. Aon is in both brandon and sandersons name. Reod and seon and dor are all in sandersons name. Sarene and raoden are both in sanderson. And once you add the stormlight "h" rule, there are infinitely more cool words you can add. Maybe on Purpose maybe not. What do you think?
  14. Why is it that while all other shards have designated people to due magic ex. Preservation/ has allomancers, but Ruin doesnt have hemalugists? The answer to this might also be the answer to the source of feruchemy. So Ruin and Preservation created life who were invested with both powers and as we know, two combined power makes a new power. The humans had the metal powers of allomancy but also had the give and take/ store and tap ability from hemalurgy. This results in feruchemy. But after first man was created, ruin was imprisoned which caused a slight shift in the equality of the feruchemist so that the next generations were either allomancers or feruchemists depending on the pureness of the bloodline (if the parents were pure blooded feruchemists or pure blooded not feruchemists or not pure blooded feruchemists). Never hemalurgists.
  15. There was already allomancy before the ascension. EDIT: I think you misinterpreted my suggestion. That after creation of humans maybe 1 10 100 1000 years after, the terrismen stumbled upon the power. But it being the original magic makes sense too. Or maybe feruchemy was the result of the original human who was invested with both powers. And as we know, two fused powers makes a new power. He uses hemalurgys power of sucking and giving and allomancys self body source and actual ability. But when he trapped Ruin the humans then became slightly more preservation than ruin or at least had his influence and became allomancers which explains why there are no person hemalugists.
  16. But she didnt have the earring on until kelsier told her to keep it on.
  17. They were in the place where the powers clashed. EDIT: Never mind. Ignore that. What if what i said before about a hurricane created a pool or bead or something which one human stumbled upon or multiple humans, and devoured all of the energy/power/content which made that tribe feruchemists.
  18. It could just be like a hurricane. When hot air meets cold air, a vortex. Same concept here, two powers, push vs pull and when clashed together for scadrial, the result was feruchemy.
  19. So are the sets faceless immortals a new creation of Kandra by the set or their leader, or are they the old kandra from the past who disobeyed preservation?
  20. Where is this source? In the mistborn short of 11th metal or just a speculation or WoB? EDIT: I knew that Ruin orchestrated it. I just couldnt think of a plausible one. Thanks novaseeker. That makes a lot of sense, even if it isnt documented.
  21. So Reen is Ruin. This begs the question, was he always the voice or did he take over the voice after getting free and taking advantage of that fact that she always had Reens thoughts in her head.
  22. Did anyone else think at first that ryshadiums were just kandra? Like when Tensoon fused the horse and boar and became a super horse. So something like that. Or is it forsure a uniquely roshar beast?
  23. I was wondering, atium is very rare and only nobles who had mistborns had it or other people who were mistborns or seers. So malatium is a mix of gold and atium two extremely expensive and rare metals. And atium is priceless. So who was the one who mixed them? Only an idiot would do that. No one knew about alternative metals except maybe lord ruler who forsure didnt mix them. So who did and why and how?
  24. At 23 percent on kindle edition. Between the middle and the end of chapter 6. Wayne says about himself ‘Well, Wayne. At least you ain’t a broke, d#less feller what can’t even pick his own nose properly.’ that was the main one for me, but there were a few others as well.
  25. It is hilarious i will admit. I am not uncomfortable at all. I have read other books, though not game of thrones, but the black prism, blinding knife, and wise mans fear. I just dont understand the purpose of an author straying from his normal values. Again, i am not uncomfortable about the terminology itself.
