  1. So as I am rereading WoK's for like the 5th time when I got to the scene where in kaladin is looking for lurgs with Tien and Laral.  In said scene kaladin thinks of Kurth the city of lightning.  On the coppermind the only info about kurth is where it is geographicly and the nationality.  Also has a quick comment on how many stories are told of it.  So what I'm wondering is does anyone know more of said city.  Like why is it the city of lightning and are there any WoB about kurth.  Thank you and have a glorious day

  2. Is it possible adolin tells Shallan and she covers for him.  I mean lieing is basically her bread and butter at this point.  That being said even if it did play out this way I still see Adolin comming forward eventually and admitting the truth.

Also another idea that just popped into my head:  is it possible now that Shallan has admitted a deep dark truth to pattern, that she now gains enough control of her lightweaving to recreate the whole scene between adolin and sadeas with stormlight and reason(see detective work)  I feel that could make for an interesting scene; Shallan eager to use her stormlight in a new way and find a killer only to see that it was adolin

  3. I'd say my favorite character at this point is probably syl.  Now as for favorite scenes I'd probably have to go for the afore mentioned chasm scene with Shallan and Kaladin, it gets me everytime, even reading the blurb of it here had me in chills and some slight welling in the eyes.  Also I would have to say the entirety of the scene where kaladin remembers the death of Tien (so sad) and following it up all the way to the end of bridge 4's rescue of Dalinar and his men.

Now if I'm speaking honestly, they're are so many scenes in SA as well as all of Sandersons works that bring me to chills.

I love the honor chasm scene where Kal almost kills himself.  It reminds me of the epiphany scene in WoT when rand is on dragonmount which is probably in my top 5 scenes for WoT

  4. What's in the box?  What's in the box!?   Sorry I went a little Brad pit there for a second.

Right so Renarin's fidget box (best name I could think of) is that supposed to be one of his eccentricities due to being on the spectrum, or is this his way of keeping glys hidden, tucked away and or safe much like Shall an with pattern and the safe?  Or early morning thought that just popped in my head is the box glys? Thank you for your time and good day.

  5. Well that shoots down my spur of the moment crackpot theory that Dalinar's boon from the NW was to split his son in two separating the psyche into two.  This could explain why Dalinar usually seems to favor Adolin over Renarin but alas it's to crackpotish.  Thanks for the clarification Yata

  6. Horneater peaks for altitude training( like the keyans) then kharbranth(surprised no one has picked there yet) for medical training. After that not sure because of my being a darkeyes my options are limited. But hey if we got enough offworld darkeyes together and trained we could change the whole light/dark eyed ruling system

  7. Elantris happens somewhere between 500 and 1300 years before SA though :P.

Yeah but galladon is one of the strangers in the purelake scene. Also aren't Elantrians basically immortal?

  8. Witspren you seem to be implying thst a mass spren revival is going to take place. If im wrong with said assumption my apologies. But if im reading you correctly then i must bring up the WoB(not sure where to find it) that says reviving the spen of a blade is not impossible, it is incredibly difficult to the point that it would be a once in a lifetime thing(also forgive the fact that i can't remember exact wording). Also i remember hearing that in either a WoB or a signed book it says that Adolins blade was orginally a edgedancer blade.

Edit: fat fingers on touch screen make for horrible spelling errors

  9. Im pretty sure in WoB, sanderson said that if a spren that has achieved blade status through oaths were to die that spren would become a blade(sword) because they are based off the original honor blades. Ei if syl were to die she would become a blade not a spear, even if she were in spearform when she died. I hope i worded this appropriatly, if not forgivness please i just woke up

Edit: upon second glance im not even sure that what i wrote applies to the topic. In my sleep fogged eyes i thought squid was trying to say that if a spren died in spear form or other form it would stay that way. Sorry everybody, i need to learn to wait till i am fully awake before i post so as not to confuse people and not make my self look like chull

  10. Here are Syl's words:

“I’m not sure.” [Kaladin] turned around, still standing, and rested his back against the bars. “I might need to. Breaking out would be against the law, though.”

[syl] lifted her chin. “I’m no highspren. Laws don’t matter; what’s right matters.”

This is very very specific and heavily implies that the highspren care strongly about laws. Given the Skybreaker's Second Ideal is "I will put the law before all else", and the highspren are seemingly very intelligent (as Jasnah sought them out for information), the heavy implication (but not quite proof) is that they were the Skybreaker's spren.

You're right that it might refer to a type of spren, like Nahel-bonding spren, but I don't agree with that as being very likely. When we see the compound word "xspren", it doesn't refer to a category of spren, but a unique species of spren in every single instance I can think of. For similar reasons, I disagree with the term "godspren" and I think it is super misleading as it breaks the naming convention.
