It makes me wonder when we will get answers to these questions if Words of Radiance was Shallan's flashback book

Where is the connection to Skyeels? I think Chasmfiends being as large and strong as they are it makes sense that with 14 legs the weight is distributed plenty. In the first greatshell fight scene in WoK Adolin and Dalinar got the beast down to 6 (I think?) legs before it toppled, which to me doesn't seem like too much of a stretch. 6 legs is for sure more in line with most fauna or Roshar, and I think 6 legs could hold the chasmfiend tentatively, but it wouldn't be able to move around very well.

Hi all, I'm wondering how the process of pupating works in relation to chasmfiends, and what the effect of hunting them has on their populations. Does the pupating process turn something like chulls or small chasmfiends into adult, massive greatshell chasmfiends? Does it turn them into something else entirely we don't know of, because we never let them finish pupating (shells are always cut into to get the gemheart)? How does this relate to the trapping of spren inside gemhearts? Do the Parshendi call chasmfiends their gods because they hold gemhearts that can facilitate the growth of voidspren, thereby recalling the old methods Venli uses to awaken Stormform?

And I thought I was crazy for reading Harry Potter around 10 times in my childhood. There are so many other books out there, I wouldn't have time to reread the Stormlight Archive that much. I'm going through the rereads from tor.com though right now and that's pretty fun.

I like the idea that it was Nalan, I also thought this and was going to post before I saw someone had said it. We need more information to be sure, though. Did Szeth show any sign of recognition in the Epilogue?
