  1. I don't think that Shashara was "playing by the rules". She and Vasher had knowledge that the rest of the world will probably never know. Prior to Vasher, it took insane amounts of breath to create lifeless, instead of the way it's done now. Also, Vasher created an ARMY of awakened lifeless soldiers encased in stone which shouldn't be possible even with the wealth of breath given to the god-kings. My guess is that they found a way to awaken steel without using nearly so much breath. It's possible that they found a way to power their awakening with another type of investiture, since they had been off-world. What if they had been to Roshar and found a way to make a fabrial which transferred investiture directly to them as breath from stormlight? Sounds crazy, but who knows? But I am reasonably certain that there's no reason to believe that she would have had to hold as much breath as Peacegiver to be able to awaken nightblood.

  2. In the WoA Sazed climbs into a tree in what is described as a forested area. Also When Elend and Vin backtrack on the way to Terris and end up meeting with Jastes, Elend runs into the forest after dealing with Jastes. Just fyi.

  3. With my luck, my epic ability would be to create minor tides and create semi-sentient constructs out of Nacho Cheese. I would be unable to generate my own cheese however. That means that my secret lair would definitely be some kind of tex/mex restaurant with a catchy spanish name.

My weakness would be that in the presence of people who are no longer hungry, my constructs would turn against me. This will cause many hiccups in my world domination plan.

My epic name would definitely have to be "The Cheese Wiz" .

  4. My personal cast would be:

    Deborah ann woll as Megan

Nathan Kress or Jamie bell as David

    Cristoph waltz as prof

    Matt bomber as steelheart

    Zendaya as mizzy

    Norman reedus as Cody

Michael cudlitz or dule hill as Abraham

    Margaret cho as Newton

    Jason segall as death point

Harrison ford or Dennis quaid as David's father

Beiber as mitosis (if you think about this actually makes a lot of sense)

MELLO! You're on the Norman Reedus as Cody train, which means you know what's up! Have an upvote on me!

  5. Would that make them allomantic savants, feruchemical savants, both, or perhaps savants for compounding specifically?

Do we have any evidence that there is such a thing as a feruchemical savant? It doesn't seem that with feruchemy that there are actual degrees of power or skill, each feruchemist we've met seems to have complete control over their abilities as long as they have their metal minds. It seems unlikely to me that frequency of use of feruchemy would actually affect it's effectiveness or the skill of the feruchemist.

  6. Just a side note, I believe that Hoid is doing other meddling than in the parts where we see him identified by name in the books. The reason? Why on earth (or Roshar, Sel, Scadrial or other comere worlds) he would need to disguise himself around people who he's never met. I can imagine Hoid infiltrating the upper crust of society for either just general meddling or to give himself hours of entertainment at their expense. For example, if Lightsong or Siri had never met him before why would he be disguised as an old man storyteller in Warbreaker? Similarly here, why would he need to hide his face from Sarene unless he were concerned she might recognize him. I don't accept it as coincidence. Hoid has definitely been meddling far more than we assume.

  7. Miles was a gold savant. The enhancement he gained from it was not what he could recover from but how fast. In his POV parts in Alloy he mentions that he is always burning it. The bulk of his power obviously came from compounding but Miles was definitely a savant.
