  1. I have a hypothesis that splits off and follows different possible threads. -Brandon says that it is possible to bring together and recombine the Shards. -The Shards exist on all three planes of existence (Physical, Spiritual, Cognitive) -There is a shardpool representing each of the shards that have made a world their home. My theory is that there is an actual connection between all the shards, and being represented by the residing body, the shardpool. But maybe I'm using 'connection' too loosely. These connections would be closer to (in my mind) to a relationship of a black hole/white hole, or the strings of time as seen in "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure". Each Shardpool is connected via this connection or webway (screw it, I'll throw 40k into the mix too.). Worldhopping could be possible by using the webway as a type of "portal" (the how, no idea) and gaining access to other worlds through use of the webway. Which would explain how it is more difficult to get to a world that has a shattered shard. It's possible to get there, but not as easily as when the shard is present. Is this new... or has someone already covered this, and I missed it?
  2. There is one thing that is being overlooked. The actual person wearing it. The reason behind patterns, colors and blends is to accentuate or seemingly detract from actual features. The universal constant within fashion is the human eye. A floral or chaotic pattern on a blouse or shirt will hide somewhat how 'hefty' a person is. Or an overweight person should wear vertical stripes instead of horizontal because the human eye will see a 'slimming effect' with the vertical stripes, while horizontal stripes make a person look wider. Colors of apparel are heavily depicted by a person's skin tone, skin features, body hair, rough vs. smooth skin, freckles, a tattoo, etc. In most cases, the darker the skin tone, the brighter the clothes that would look good, and vice versa. But, there are times when it is overboard... like Ghandi said "Everything in moderation!"
  3. I've read every Cosmere book that Brandon Sanderson wrote, I understand breaths, allomancy, Feruchemy, and Aons (or the basic principles, at least). However, within the Stormlight Archive books (with 2 rereads) I cannot get even a basic understanding for the magic system. Titles such as 'Windrunner' come up where they contain 2 different fields of investitures; is this akin to twinborns? In simple terms, what are the difference between all the lashings? How many types of known lashings are there at this time? How does each Surge perform i.e. adhesion, gravitation, division, abrasion, progression, illumination, transformation, transportation, cohesion, tension; and what are the differences between them? I've read through the forum trying to understand the way other people explain it, but it's just not clicking, and this is important, because the information that I'm missing, or simply not understanding, could be substantial when creating and understanding ties with not just Roshar, but how they are connected along the cognitive, spiritual, and physical realm. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
  4. I've been on the forum for awhile, and I figured, what the hell; why not join? I enjoy reading the theories, especially those by chaos, zas, and a few others I see appear up but can't remember their names. Although I do have some questions that arise from some of the Cosmere information that I can't fully understand such as: What is the overall plot and the general information learned from "White Sands", and "Road to Evanshire"(?) and how does that information do with the Cosmere? One last question... What the hell does RAFO freaking stand for? Love ya'!
