Sorry I probably should have been more clear. She can only manipulate the gel if it touches the ground at some point, and she can control about 100 liters with precision, after that they can only act as a group. Edit: I can't type.

How about this? I keep the red car within 25 feet approaching, as her weakness, but any car coming directly at her within 25 feet triggers her weakness to a lesser degree: say one tenth of her previous powers. The solid gel becomes gelatinous again after the pressure is gone. As for control, I was thinking of something similar to Nightwielder's.

Okay, good point. I'll keep the color manipulation, but she'll use it more for stealth attacks. She may still use gel for fast travel though, as it would help her circumvent her weakness. (Whichever one I decide to use.) Here, have an upvote.

I thought that in the typical paranoid fashion of epics, she might like for her enemies to come prepared to fight a flight epic, only to realize that there isn't one there. For example, air manipulators are very useful against epics with flight powers, but against her, they really wouldn't be terribly useful.

The gel would be solid, but would not necessarily reflect light, as its reflective properties are within her manipulation. I was thinking that she would support herself on a pillar of transparent gel, with constructs waving around to keep anyone from getting close enough to hit the column. Edit: Punctuation

Okay, I might make it so that it is only triggered by red cars within 25 feet coming directly at her. Or, conversely, I could make her weakness claustrophobia due to an elevator accident. Which one sounds best? Also, I forgot to mention that she can manipulate the color of her gel, and occasionally makes it clear and uses it to fake a levitation ability.

I have trouble making eye contact, I am horribly socially awkward, I can't stand people touching me, I really like the logical methods of math and the physical sciences. I'm sure that my parents would be able to list other reasons, but those are the ones that I can think of right now.

Corvallis sounds like the type of game I want to play. On second thought, the cars coming generally closer would act on her powers in the same way as a non-red car coming right at her, which I will tentatively say cuts her powers to 0.8 liters produced per second, and 50 manipulated at one time.

Gelliton sounds good. I realized that I wasn't clear on the weakness, approaching non-red cars only weaken her powers, not completely remove them.

Name: I don't have one that fits yet Gender: Female Primary: Can create three different types of gels; one that hardens on impact with a solid, one ballistic gel, and one that has some resistance to fire. She can produce about 8 liters of gel per second. Secondary: Manipulation of the gels, she can manipulate only one type of gel at a time, and a maximum of 500 liters of it. Passive: When targeted by a projectile, ballistic gel is unconsciously formed around her, protecting her from impact. She cannot breathe when she is protected like this. Her corruption manifest itself in a haughtiness and self-centered manner where she will thoughtlessly kill any vanilla who gets in her way. Weakness: When she was young, she was almost killed in an auto accident, and her weakness is approaching red cars, though approaching cars of any kind within 50 feet will trigger her weakness.

I have been lurking on this site for several months, and finally managed to make an account. I have read all of Sanderson's non-novella works, except for the Alcatraz series, as well as the Emperor's Soul. I also read the terms of use fully, and have recently yodeled with a shoe on my head. ( It was that or my Immortal Soul, okay)
