  1. I have ransacked most of the OB spoiler board for anyone discussing this interlude. The idea that there might be a force of Natans that sailed East and are returning seems to be alluded to very heavily in this Interlude. That combined with not much else being shown has me wondering if there might be an Island of some kind in the Sea of Origins. Any thoughts on this?

  2. I distinctly remember the Listeners trying to attract creationspren in order to change into artform. While the Cryptics are the spren that make Lightweavers. Now maybe the Listeners had the wrong idea trying to use creationspen in the firstplace, who know? But It seems to me that artfom and Lightweaving aren't corresponding forms. But it does help with the idea that listeners need two spren in order to become KR. One for the correct form and another for the Nahel bond.

  3. you might be able to get away with some Roman Legionnaire sandals. I imagine they would work we enough. That is if you were looking for something because you don't want to go barefoot and didn't want to use regular shoes.

  4. The question I have is did Leras throw sixteen everywhere because sixteen is the number of Shards/he is Shard number sixteen, meaning he crafted the percentage of snapping perfectly to correspond to this. Or did he throw sixteen around because that is the way the magic system manifested based on some other cause and he just took advantage of that fact.

I don't think so. The tone was optimistic, almost delighted at how quickly he was collecting right then.

He was also very cheery when he was hanging upside down, or waking up beaten in an alley.

I assume Aimians are somehow physically connected to the cognitive realm because of the reverse shadows and the ability to rewrite their bodies with thought. Maybe they are a cross between humans and spren.

As to how they are received, immortals tend to be disliked in literature and the Axies talks about completing his research in just a few more centuries. They are apparently as different from mankind as are the parshendi.

He could have been just being wry with himself. Like he knows just how impossible his chosen research is but he doesn't care.

I think transportation and gravitation will make you able to use the lashing on someone/thing you aren't touching.

As for transportation and adhesion i think you'll be able to make objects stick together even though you aren't touching them

Give me your thoughts about these ideas and i'll edit the post later

There aren't any KR orders that have those two power sets though.

  8. What if the Bondsmiths didn't die out though. We know Cuicesh and the Stormfather weren't bonding anyone but what about the Nightwatcher? She seems intelligent and deals with humans on a regular basis. Who knows, Dalinar might meet the Rosharan version of Yoda who will teach him the ways of the Bondsmiths before he dies.

  9. There will be discussions using Secret History beyond, proceed at your own risk.

So we know that Shards once invested in a world would find it extremely difficult to leave their world. In Secret History we witness our very first on screen worldhop. Kelsier leaves the confines of Scadrial and wanders the void between realms for a bit. the further away from Scadrial he got the tighter his Spiritual tether became. This I assume is because he has a bit of the Investiture of the Shards in him like all Scadrians. The amount was not enough to prevent him from leaving just enough to make some discomfort.

I am wondering if the spiritual gravity of a world would be stronger on a Splinter. We know a Splinter can overcome the same pull that Kelsier  did because Vasher is on Roshar. What I am wondering is if it is possible for a Splinter like a Seon or Spren would be able to do it.

We have been told by Brandon that a Seon on Roshar would act much like a Nahel Spren. I just want to know if it is at all possible to see something like that in a future book.

  10. I think it would be funny if it was the Stonewards. Their Herald was the only one to not forsake his oath after all. But what makes it funny is the thought of Stonewards employing a 'great subterfuge.' I picture a bunch of huge guys in full plate tip toeing away in single file at night lol.

  11. I don't know if this is relevant but don't shadows point towards the 'sun' in shadesmar? I can't remember if I saw this in the books or if this was part of the Jasnah teaser chapter. what that might mean if it turns out as true tells me that it is more likely the Afterlife that Kelsier was being pulled towards before he managed to stay behind.

Not sure if the AI would count as a spren, but I am with you on counting Iron Man's armor as invested for purposes of evening out the fight. The combat would really put to the test the durability of a radiant driven shardplate with the missiles flying. I wonder if the shardplate would absorb the repulsor blasts like it did the stormforms lightning attacks? Having the spren change into a shield anytime missiles are shot would help, but I think Iron Man might be able to keep ahead speed wise. The windrunner might come out ahead due to healing, strength, and speed increases from stormlight, though unless they find themselves in a highstorm, there is always the issue of it running out mid combat. It would in my opinion be very close.

The very definition of an AI is basically a Cognitive entity. I figured the crossover would invest the AI the same as the Armor itself but that's just my theory. It would throw an interesting monkey wrench into the mix though.

  13. A hemalurgic nightmare monster. figure out how to steal surgbinding to create super-inquisitors. They would have access to whatever Feurchemy, Allomancy and Surgebinding of their choice.

Heck based on that one Kandra we met, such an Inquisitor could change up the combos on the fly.

Lol there is literally a whole thread already on Vin vs Iron Man in the mistborn thread. It goes pretty in depth regarding both their abilities, and assumes giving Vin all the metals. Then there is also giving Iron Man an aluminum suit, but also limiting some of his weapons due to its composition while giving Vin a few select finite medallions (health, and heat) to even the playing field vs the aluminum suit. Conversely I think it would be interesting to see a full windrunner vs iron man.

If the Iron Man vs Windrunner fight took place on Roshar they would both have Spren. The only really unknown would be the AI spren. would it form a Nahel bond with Iron Man and if so what kind of extra powers would he get from it.

For the fight I am assuming that Iron Mans armor would be equivalent to Shardplate. A full windrunner should also have his own set of Plate as well. It would definatly be a long tough fight.

Doesn't it have a dedicated AI to help control it? Jarvis, then Friday?I suppose that could make the armour somewhat harder to soulcast, what with it having a stronger Identity or something that would interfere with this (I know we've seen a person being soulcast while a stick was un-soulcast-able, but there's a difference in experience levels of soulcasting person).

That begs the question. Is the AI considered the Cognitive form of the Armor or are they separate entities?

Another thought. Would the AI turn into a Spren upon entering the Cosmere?

I'm more of a DC than Marvel but I dont think the Gauntlet is that strong, but if it is than I guess you're right.

about lightweaving don't forget that it's called in the Ars Arcenum "light sound and and other wave forms", than it might count (at list in the comics universe)  as light and sound manipulation and I personally think that lightweaving doesn't have to be in the visible spectrum and soundweaving can be a very very very loud noise. generally I don't think Lightweaving is only Illusions

Me neither. I believe that there are many cool things that Shallan could eventually do, after all lasers are light too.. But her current level is only illusions that can speak.
