This is my second post on the types of people in the Cosmere. A Worlsinger is a member of the Worldsinger, A group of story-tellers and knowledge givers on Roshar. They travel the world learning new things and believe they were charged by the Heralds to spread knowledge. A Feruchemist is a user of Feruchemy, a magic where the user stores power in metal as to gain further power later. A Feruchemist may store his speed in Steel, becoming physically slower so he can be faster later. A Shardholder is someone who has agreed to bond with a Shard (of Andolesium) the shards of Cultivation and Endowment have unknown owners and the rest are either dead or missing.
A shard beirer owns both plate and blade. Kaladin owns neither and Szeth owns just the BladeShardblades are evident in the Cosmere via the Dawnsingers and their Shards and Splinters are the same. I had no idea about the Soulcasters but. Thanks for the heads up.
There are (I believe) 3 main types of people in the Cosmere. Surgebinders, like Szeth or Kaladin, Shardbearers, like Dalinar or Adolin and true Soulcasters, like Jasnah and Shannah. Although there are many other types of people In the Cosmere, these 3 are fundamental, Shardbearers for war and conflict(there is a lot of that), Soulcasters which are essential for any civilisation and Surgebinders which are the primary focus in WoK. Which one do you see yourself as?
King Galivar vs Szeh the Truthless from Way of Kings. The prologue. Szeth based on the Szeth Chapter images. Galivar and his Shardblade based on descriptions in the book!
Here is my first artwork
It depicts Szeth fighting Gavlivar in the first chapter of The Way of Kings, Szeth is oozing Stormlight and Galivar has appeared through a hole in the wall and is currently in Windstance (I reckon it would look like that) or is doing Gangnam Style. Whatever. His Shardplate is cracked in some places showing that he is currently losing the battle although Szeth has been cut on the back of his head. Szeth's Shardblade is based on the picture in the Szeth chapters. Galivar's sword is based on a discription in the chapter. 6 feet long, massive, Black with flame designs on it. Thanks!!! More to come
Preliminary sketches.
Hello again friends and strangers alike. Last night I was thinking of Nohadon and The Way Of Kings. Turns out there r really a lot of things in Branon Sanderson has taught us with his own ingenious quotes. Here you can share what his books have taught you and be sure to quote the book. The cosmere has taught us all in one way or another
'Life before death, Strength before weakness, the journey before the destination.
Wha do you think?
