@Landis963 Ahh good points... I guess I only saw the link between what the IRE drink and what Hoid puts on his oar and Spanky, and rolled with it

@Landis963 the other candidate for a white robe is an Elantrian - remember, when a person goes through the transformation, or at least the Shaod (I think that's what it's called - don't have the book in front of me ) they are dressed in white robes before taken to the city. Likewise, when we see Hoid riding Spanky he uses a liquid to keep him afloat, presumably the same liquid we see the IRE drinking a little later. Could be just a coincidence, but knowing Sanderson, probably not...
