  1. especially considering alendi also had his hemalurgical spike from an earing, same place same ability, whereas all other abilities we have seen granted have been placed in different spots on the body.

it doesnt make me wonder about burning hemalurgic spikes with allomancy...a feruchemical charge writes over an allomantic one when an attribute is stored in the metal. reckon this would hold true for a hemalurgic charge too(as in it could be burned and produce different effects from normal metal)? also would storing an attribute feruchemically change the metal from a hemalurgic spike to a feruchemical metalmind?

  2. I still can't help but link the fact his "corrupted" breath is black and a line included when vasher is sneaking into the court and says something along the lines of "black is a colour too he didn't know that till he became an awakener". Wonder if someone could use the colour to fuel awakening Oo whilst drawing him and all, I mean it wouldn't be easy even if possible

  3. Feruchemy was stolen as well with hemalurgy, just required different bind points, tlr kept it quite controlled it appears with the inquisitors but when he died and ruin gained control they slaughtered the majority of the remaining feruchemists for their abilities, so a large number of spikes with feruchemical ability were created. marsh had over 20 spikes I think in the end as ruin was building him up into some kind of champion of avatar it seems so it is totally possible on of those was a spike giving him the use of atium feruchemically

  4. at the same time tlr spent years slowly filtering some of ruins power into the physical world, not really a huge amount on the scale of gods, but enough to make then equal from when preservation put more power into creating humanity, so vin could stop ruin affecting the physical world (which wouldnt have been successful if ruin found that extra part of his power, note why he was looking for it so badly). It is mentioned in mistborn many times that the slight imbalance of power was small but enough over the years for ruin to slowly win, hence the preservations betrayal and giving up his cognitive mind and all that to trap him. Im not disagreeing with your other points but it does seem one shard can be more powerful then another.

Edit, this is a reply to shard obsessed btw :P

  5. the point is i dont think that the people who used the parshmen did live through the desolations....its a long term plan else it wouldnt take thousands of years. The people who found the parshmen first did not necessarily remember the voidbringers, and just hear stories of monsters the used to roam the world, not docile creatures who are tiny and do nothing but what you say. Also think, the thought they had won, there were no more preparations for war.

Heres a point that goes towards ur theory tho, if the heralds are still alive, and they were picked i would imagine for their honour and a serios desire to help (as shown by a willingness to go through thousands of years of torture plus the rest in crazy battles). Then how could they go all this time, even with their minds mosstly broken, with no desire at all to warn them that their ancient enemy was everywhere. You would think at least one of them would crack and tell some1!! but then who would believe that their loyal docile servants are really monsters told about in legend (which if you follow jasnahs theory is the whole point of the plan).

btw personally i havent decided on the parshmen as voidbringers yet xD but currently looks likely, would love to see talns reaction to them even if its nothing lol

  6. ah i havent checked but i think towards the end she was just wearing the earing more? i kinda figured that was part of the big reveal about the earing :/ along with noticing she didnt pierce copper clouds without it and never heard the voice without it Oo if any1 does find a part where she hears the well with the earing out tho plx let meknow!

  7. I don't see the reasoning behind why it needs to revert back to normal age. Feruchemy is all about no gain or loss of said attribute being stored, when you store health you spend time unhealthy to speed up healing later. There is no reverting back to what it was once you spend the healing. If you lose a leg and use large amounts of health to heal it, it doesn't fall off again once you stop tapping healing. When you compound healing you gain extra health, after you have healed, you have healed. Your body doesn't try and revert back and there is no good reason why it should. Aging is the same... It's purely physical once you gain tat extra year you have an extra year and start as if you were a year younger, nothing else is continuous once the effect has happened the effect has happened, if you start compounding massive amounts of strength you don't suddenly at one point just become weaker, makes no sense :/

  8. he was less powerful, there were so few because they had very little investiture (connection to preservation?) the ones strong enough to snap in those days were like those that barely have enough ability to snap in mb age (afaik)

  9. I might be mistaken here just read thru, i don't think it says in the book that people ha parshmen servants during the times of desolations and the radiants, the plan for the final one to work I think involved waiting long enough until humanity forgot all about it and crumbled easily, using the parshmen works perfectly in this plan. Wait until nobody knows what voidbringers are, introduce a load of your soldiers on timers or musical triggers or summit and let them become slaves completely ingrained in every bit of human society.

That being said I do like the idea, just saying afaik I think they coulda introduced parshmen after the radiants and desolations and all that had been forgotten
