  1. Hello,

So while listening to the Legendarium podcast I ended up joining a new social media site called Imzy. Imzy is still in beta so it's kind of cool to be on a site where you get a chance to influence the features and layout. Well I started looking around Imzy and noticed that there was no community for Brandon Sanderson or the Cosmere. So I started one. If anyone want to try it out just head to www.imzy.com/cosmere. You'll have to request an invite and I'll approve it as quickly as I'm able. Come join if you are interested in talking about the cosmere on a new platform.

    Thanks for your time.

  2. @Jess, I really enjoyed Marasi in AoL and her character has only, in my opinion, gotten better since then. She seemed to click with Wax (and Wayne) during their time fighting against Miles. She has a bold streak in her that demolishes the "damsel in distress" role and, instead, lends her credibility when working with (and/or being with) Wax [shooting the bandits in AoL from the balcony, shooting the Mark's assassin in SoS etc.]. Also, as we see in SoS and BoM she is very forward thinking and accepting of new societal changes and advances and I think she could help balance out Wax as he seems to struggle to accept new things. Furthermore, and finally, her strong detective skills and use of statistics is a great complement to Wax's own detective skills.

Seeing Steris evolve over the last two books has helped make her far more likable and enjoyable as a character but I never quite accepted she was as "good" of a fit for Wax as Marasi despite Brandon's, sometimes heavy-handed, attempts to move us in that direction.

I find that interesting. I honestly think Marasi and Wax would get into way too much trouble together. Marasi may help balance Wax when it comes to modern thinking, but neither of them is very good at politics.  Steris is competent enough to help steer Wax through the political landscape without being too constrictive or controlling. That is why I am very happy to see Wax and Steris together.

  3. I liked her in AoL, but I honestly thought that Wax was going to end up with Marasi. Mainly because that is how it goes in every romcom ever.  Later, I thought to myself wouldn't it be wonderful if Sanderson broke that pattern and had Wax end up with Steris instead.  To my joy, Sanderson did just that.  I love how prepared and willing to go all out Steris is.  She and Wax each operate in very different spheres and will compliment each other wonderfully.

  4. Hello,

So my name is Aaron and I just recently decided to get involved on this website.  My age is 24 and I am going to school at USU and will be transferring to ISU in the fall.  I first started reading Sanderson's books when a friend at college recommended that I read Mistborn and the very next day my boss made the same recommendation.  Since then I have read almost everything that he has read and keep checking for release dates.

My personal favorite is The Rithmatist.  My second is probably Warbreaker.  I really hope that someday soon he decides to write the sequel he's been thinking about.

Other than that my hobbies are reading, video games, and movies.  If you have any questions you want to ask me go right ahead and I'll try to respond.  I look forward to be a part of this website.

    Peace
